When we have those days we feel tired and defeated. Jesus knows our heart and knows our pain. Just bring all your troubles to him because he really does care. Jesus can you feel new and refreshed again.

Matthew 11:28 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

reminds me of the song, what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a priviledge to carry, EVERYTHING to him in prayer. Have you ever just READ the words to songs. We sing them all the time but do we hear the words? I recently had a friend read, no music, no singing just read some songs to me and I realised then that I have been missing alot of beautiful words.

a lot of the older hyms...are verses right out of the bible...

I Will Sing Of The Mercies Of The Lord
(Psalm 89:1) "I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations."
(Psalms 108:3) "I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations."
(Psalms 119:90) "Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth."

God bless

Hi Crystalco - Hope you're well - I recall, as a Chorister, our Choirmaster always made us read& re-read the words of any new piece, hymn or anthem before we got anywhere near the melody.
