If you enjoy Narnia, then you may want to read the information in this link.
Narnia: divine or demonic? This is not a judgement on anyone, this is only intended for your benefit. |

Yes, that is how the fable is sold to us.
Not sure that is enough though, are you? Any how the link is very useful. I came across it, and thought I would share. I do not benefit from this, but someone will benefit from all that money taken from the film and merchandise. The Bible is clear on Wizard and Witches. Jesus did not come and give us a fantasy, he gave us truth. I never read in the Bible that someone would come, and explain it to us via a magic wardrobe, and a wicked witch.... I think the Christian view is a very good selling point, but going against the Bible to give a message does not seem very fruitful. |

First of all this is just a movie. Narnia is not real. And C.S Lewis is a well known Christian author to this day. That first movie that came out. It's just a portrayal of Heaven is what I think it is. Cause Aslan symbolizes God and the wicked witch is symbolized as Satan. It's basically an allegory for Christianity. And if that's something you don't understand, maybe you should research it? Cause I myself find no problem with the books/movies.

I loved the movies and the books, I'm currently reading the Horse and his Boy, and I'm loving it
. I like C.S. Lewis writings, Narnia being one of them, I fail to see how it is demonic....the book is portrayed as a fantasy book, so it is known that all magic and allegories there are not to be followed as examples, rather they are used as a background to give the meaning of the stories. Maybe the book itself is not christian ( I consider christian something that directly states that Jesus is Lord), but it has A LOT of christian principles and if you know who C.S. Lewis is, I think you can get where it comes from.

Reading the website I came for question:
Are we adviced to stay away from magic because of the power or what's behind it? I mean, To my understanding the magic and occultism and all that kind of thigs are here tools devil because they get their power from him. In narnia for example magic was spoken partially different meaning than just what's it in real. In first book of narnia the narnia itself was created using magic (sining) by Aslan. (He said it himself) |

I think Magic is quite natural element of fantasy, but in real you have to understand the meaning of magic. No I don't mean just spellcasting and wizards and that kind of things. When lit a match, play your fingers making them look like switching places, pray God, or summon "dead person from the past" like Saul did. All of these can be understood as magic, but really. Are they and should we avoid all of these?

Because God himself does find these things a problem. Christians have a responsibility to recognize that there are many out there, that come to deceive. It is full of paganism, and the idea that C. S Lewis was a great Christian writer, because of it, only proves that it is not intended for good. When was the last time a Christian song got to number one in the charts? |
