A few days ago, I took my wife to the doctor. She's been showing signs and well, she's four weeks along. Dads here, I want to make this as easy for my wife as possible. I come from a big family (I'm number 3 out of 7 and the only son) so I know how difficult a pregnancy can be. Any advice you can give me?

congratulations to you and your wife and may you and your family be blessed...honour God first and daily ask for His help to guide you as a dad..He is the perfect model of Fatherhood so read your bible and study it and see how as a Father he dealt with alll the people from Adam to the present day..make sure you are head of the house and have your wife and children fully submitted to you as your authority comes from God...love them as Christ loves the church..love, protect, guide, care for their needs..make sure they are spiritually fed as well as their physical needs taken care of...speak to other men who are good dads..pray for your family and lead them in their walk with God

IT'S A GIRL!! WE JUST FOUND OUT LAST NIGHT! My wife's parents will be here for Thanksgiving weekend. She can't wait to tell them.

Regarding the pregnancy, we have six children, and I have been pregnant nine times. :)
Expect the unexpected...:)

That book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting" was a pretty good read, as far as the baby's development and what's happening to mommy.
Other than that, love, patience and understanding forgiveness will get you through it,
and I believe I already see those things in your heart toward your wife. :)

I am rejoicing with you!!

Like, terminal exhaustion. ;)

My daughter's childhood friend (and my daughter in my heart) Kate is 31 and has 3 children.
When she was pregnant with their third, her husband asked why the house wasn't clean,
and she replied, "I'm building a human, here!" LOL

Keep that in mind, and you'll do great. :)

Advice from a woman...
Tell her she is beautiful all the time. Fall in love with her all over again. Develop a sense of wonder that this woman is in having YOUR baby. Be tender to them BOTH... always! Talk to her stomach! Have conversations about your parenting plans. Tell her she is beautiful! Pray with her, for her and over her.

... oh an be thrilled to go to the store at 3 am for pickles and icecream :)

We actually extended it to four possible names: Anastasia, Nataliya, Marina, and Sofia.
