Hi all,

Consider the woman Jesus met at the well and what she did.

She was so impressed with Jesus, she went into the village and rallied, many people to follow her to meet Jesus.
Many were saved
They convinced Jesus to stay in the village for 2 days and many more were saved.

Having said that,

I am finding out the following is true...

Did you know one of the reasons people do not go to church?
they have not received any invitation to attend Church services.
Some of these people accuse the Christians of being selective in giving invitation to people.
Metasearch Search Engine - Search.com

Think about it,
When was the last time you were invited to a church service by
someone you knew?
someone you never met?

For me
maybe 5 times in my lifetime to the 1st ?,
only once to the 2nd ?

on the flip side ...

how often do you invite people you know to church?
family, friends, co workers, neighbors

when was the last time you invited someone you never met?
how often?

For me
not that often to the 1st ?
maybe once to the 2nd ?

If a woman could rally many people out of town to follow her to meet our Saviour,
why can not we rally at least 1 person to visit our churches every week?
remember Jews and Samaritans did not get along
the woman still succeeded in her mission to rally many people out of town.

a simple invitation to church can make a difference in one's life
I know I been there almost 14 years ago.
When someone I never met invited me to a worship service

It was Oct 99,
I had walked away from church I grew up in
I was married
daughter, who did not know who God is was 7
And we had no church to call home
Believed there was a God.
but there was no relationship with Him
covered in sin
destined for that place down under
and not talking about Australia...lol
it was then ... when I walked into a book store
I approached a man I never met in my life
He was reading a motivational book
my mind set was to recruit him for a small business I had
God had other plans
From my questioning him about his qualifications for my business
I found out he belonged to a church.
When I asked him what church, he let me know.
and then...
because he cared enough to ask the right questions,
He saw a need in my life and invited me to that church
At that church, I discovered God's love in my life and eventually accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour
I will always be eternally grateful for that man reaching out to me....

Can you imagine if a person you never met found salvation in the Lord
and then thanked you for caring enough about them and reaching out to them and inviting them to a worship service
That is the joy of blessing that man felt when I thanked Him for caring and reaching out to me with an invitation to church
Since then my heart passion and desire is to reach out and invite as many people to church as the Lord leads me to.
I can not wait for the day God willing, someone I invite someone I never met, Finds salvation in the Lord,
and then hope and pray God blesses that person as richly as he blessed me in the past 14 years
And it is only the beginning
God only knows where I would be today if I did not encounter that man that day

I like your testimony and I agree with you. Let's pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ so He give us the right set of questions and answers for every person in need we might encounter. May the Holy Ghost guide our hearts to those people so they can be part of the gift of life and love that Jesus gives us everyday. Amen
