Me and my husband have just recently been granted sole custody of my step-son. He was in a bad position for all of his young life. I love my son more than anything on this planet. He stole my heart the moment I held him in my arms nearly 4 years ago. Him (4), his brother (1), and my husband are my world.

Since we were granted custody, my step-son has only seen his biological mother once and we have only received one email to inform us of a new number. We have encouraged the bio-mom to participate in as many visitations as she would like. We have even set up skype to allow for more consistent contact but to know progress.

The only thing I think we can do now is wait.

I just hurt so much for my baby. He is only 4 and doesn't understand what is going on. I feel his pain every time he asks about her and his family on bio-mom's side. I don't know the right things to say when he asks. We have just kept repeating that everyone loves him (including bio-mom and her family) and that we know they miss him too. I don't know if this is the case or not but I just want my little boy to know how much he is loved.

Please say a prayer for my little man. That he might find peace, love, and stability here with us.
Please say a prayer for the biological mom. That she might find the guidance and resources necessary to organize and better her life, so that she can be a positive pillar in our son's life.
Please say a prayer for my husband and I. That we might find the wisdom, words, and patience necessary to keep moving forward.

Thank you for reading, praying, and I look forward to chatting with everyone. :)
P.S. Don't hesitate to suggest bible verses. :)

I can't think of any applicable bible verses...mainly because you are already living them :).

Praying for you, your husband, and the children...may the Spirit bring harmony and love into your household and help you to grow these little souls into god-loving adults.
