My mom is dying of cancer, she was diagnosed in July at the same time I started hemo dialysis. I have end stage renal disease but I'm trying to do everything. We are a family of 7 in a 3 bedroom home and life is really stressful. My faith is lacking and I haven't been to church in so long because I'm just not happy with my church right now. I keep thinking I will look for another church but I don't. I have no energy. I have always trusted God but now I just feel like He is so far away from me and I don't know how to get close to Him again. Please help me.

Jesus give my Sister strength. My dad has cancer but we say he is healed in Jesus name. We thank God that he is healed. We don't take in the ugliness the devil wants to hand us. You must renew your mind. I know it is very hard. They said my dad would be dead a few years back. But we said we will will believe what God says. He said said he died on the cross so we are healed. My dad is fine. I have to keep reminding him that Jesus says he is healed. Blessings and cursings come out of our mouths. What we think and what we speak is so important. What you say out of your mouth releases power from heaven either for the good or for the bad. God bless you.

You are in my prayers butterfly
when i am feeling down i remeber this - i have it in my bedroom and the livingroom
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you

i like it - i gave it to my non-beliving auntie on the 3rd of augut for her birthday - she now also has it in her livingroom wall.

I have it in my bedroom next to a framed version of 'the fruits of the spirit' :D and a Glass version of 1 Corinthians 13:4 - love is patient, love is kind....

Please be careful that you don't bring condemnation upon Butterfly. It is true that we should believe God for healing and our words are important, especially our ability to use our tongue to hurt other people with our words. We can bring life or death to the people around us with our words. Words wound people, and I hope, Butterfly, you never feel like your faith or lack of faith determines the outcome of your mom's illness. When we are faithless, God is still faithful. He knows your pain and loneliness and will find a way to reveal Himself to you. I believe God is a God of Grace and Mercy and very little is dependent upon your efforts, faith or how many times you go to church. He loves you, even when your faith is small. He is still there. Look for Him in every situation and He will reveal Himself in surprising ways. He doesn't want to be hidden from you. He is not far from you. He's as close as the whisper of His name. He will whisper back, not in a storm or thunder or writing on your wall, but in a still small voice that is concrete for you. Many of God's people have lost a loved one or died of sickness and whether or not they claimed their healing or not, God's plan still prevailed. Our life here on earth is temporary and God loves us so much, He has numbered our days and even the hair on our heads. He is with us in the middle of every situation and has a plan for each one of us. His main plan is to bring us into relationship with Him and each other. Love on your mom, while you still have her. Her time may be now, it may be in 20 years, but God will still be God regardless of what tomorrow brings. Look for Him. He is very near you. Rest in Him. You don't have to perform a ritual, have a certain level of faith, or do anything. Just rest. You are burdened and heavy in heart, but He is strongest, when we are weak. It's not up to you. Let go of your efforts and let God comfort you. He loves you and the body of Christ loves you, too. He will shelter and guide you.

Dee, thank you so much for your words. I don't really know what to say but it was definitely something I needed to hear. God bless you,

I just prayed for you. One thing my pastor tells us it to make sure you let God's will be done. He told us a story about this person who's husband was dying and he would die and the lady would pray and he'd be alive again. In the end, the person realized God wouldn't let the person leave because the person was praying even though it was his time to go. I hope that made sense.
