iam a born again christian but iam alone working in a country far away from my home .I like to be a spiritual man in all my ways but iam having one problem ,that is sex.very sadly iam saying i often masturbate seeing porn ,i tried many ways to get rid of that but more and more enslaved.i dont know what to do iam an unmarried man of age 27 .can any believers help me please.

Have you thought of getting rid of your computer? I’m serious. If your computer causes you to sin, get rid of it. Find something more profitable to do.

Renew your mind with God word instead...

Romans 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.


His reminders his statues, when you have that feeling to sin , remind yourself you belong to Christ and the holyspirit is living inside of you, do not profane the temple of the Holyspirit brother. Everything is possible with God He broke the chains :)

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?


Call on Jesus and He will help you are tempted

Hebrews 2:18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

But most importantly you must choose who you will serve.

Romans 6:16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?

OK, here goes. If, "Have you considered finding a woman" is the suggestion that you follow, may I add on to that?

I am MOST certain that someone here would NOT suggest to find a woman for the sole purpose of getting rid of your pent up sexual frustrations. If you go at a relationship with the main drive being your satisfaction, especially you "sexual" satisfaction, I am afraid that it may be based on the WRONG satisfaction. Yes, sex is a beautiful thing, a true gift given by the Lord to be shared between two people who have pledged their union to one another... but... it SHOULD NOT be the driving factor in the decision of what to do with your pent up frustrations.

Take the advice from some others first... get things right between YOU and the Lord... BEFORE you go and bring another person into your life.

Even if you ignore what I say, and chose to follow the "quick fix" of finding a woman, do you really think that the sexual frustration part will go away once you "find a woman"... if you are viewing porn now, something tells me that you WILL view porn later.

Get things right between you and the Lord first... then and only then will you be ready for adding someone to your life. IF you do not, you are begging for problems later. You need only read a few posts on these forums to see what I say has some merit.

The problem is getting worse because you are training your body to expect it. Just like overeating is an addiction, so is masturbating. The more you do it, the more your body desires it.

Get rid of what is tempting you into it...like the computer...or get software that will prevent you from seeing things you shouldn't see. My weakness is eating fun food for entertainment but I need to lose weight so I can't have cookies and ice cream in the house. I know I have a weak will when it comes to 'fun food' so I have to make adjustments in my living environment.

Exercise! This really helps. Eat right (fruits and vegetables), and get enough sleep. The ability to resist temptation is extremely weak when we are not well rested. I tend to want to eat more when actually I'm tired.

And most importantly, get into God's Word. He will give us the power to control our wills. All addictions are due to not having the ability to control ourselves. A good prayer is 'Lord, please make my will willing'.

Praying for you...good for you for desiring to rid yourself of a sin. May the Lord help you to do this :).

Its nice to see someone respond with sound scriptural advice. If you can't stop looking at porn, then throw the computer in the trash. But I have to tell you though. Just removing the source of corruption won't be enough. You will need to seek TRUTH from then on. Because it is the only thing that will help you lose your love for the sins that have misguided you. I know these things because I was in your shoes. It took me a long time. And I am still haunted at times. Thankfully I have Christ (and my wife). Without them, I would not have had the courage and strength to hate the sins that had hold of me. We must lose the love. Else they WILL come back.

The fact there isn't a men's forum is definitely to the detriment of those in need of help and seeking it.

to the OP -- find other men to keep you accountable. Someone you can call if you're struggling. Nobody can be an island as you are...you need other believers to lean on. Even if that means posting here and asking for prayer. Someone here will always pray for you...that's why they're here right now. Take heart and know that your struggle is not for nothing...

Have you ever read a book about this?

I don't think anyone would, honestly.

Sex is one aspect of a relationship, there are many others that are equally fulfilling.

My guess is that the OP is a "shy guy" who has difficulty expressing his feelings to a woman. Or finding a woman to express his feelings to. The only recourse at this point is the computer.

Why not focus on the positive, seek what every person finds to be the second-most rewarding facet of life!

From another angle, no woman would appreciate a man saying that he wants to be with her for the children that she might produce. While there is truth in the strong desire for children, or appreciation for them after they are born, that is simply not a good reason to state openly.

Focus on friendship, doing things together, then build to emotional intimacy. Sex and children will follow in due time.

I am an indian Christian guy away from home as well so I hear you. I think it has become a big problem in our culture, society and situation in general.
Addiction to masturbation is a serious problem. Pornography is just to add extra flavour to the addiction and takes the masturbation addiction one level up. I have been struggling with this for years, bro so glad you brought this up.
I don't have an answer yet as I am struggling my.self. I have been asking myself what I can do but honestly don't have an answer. I am going to pray about this and will remember you as well.

I won't comment. The answers on this post have led me to believe I'm on the wrong site. I don't agree with the "must be married for sex" thing. Man made human written. There might be lots of divorces if that rule was in effect 100 percent. Did a Holy Spirit ever say we have to get married to have sex? I don't think so.

You say that this rule was man made, but have you ever met a man that would write something like that? The temptation for men to commit fornication is clear throughout history, so why would some one man decide to limit his own desires by writing this law? Jesus said not to even look at a woman with lust. Do you really believe that He would condone fornication? Remember that the man that first decreed this law was not doing so based on any societal standards, the way you might suppose someone would decree it today. At some point a man had to come out against the masses and say, "None of us are allowed to do this anymore". Doesn't sound like something any man I know would come up with. In the garden of Eden, the first the thing devil said to Eve was not a lie, but a question, "Did God really say that? Surely that is not what he meant."

You know, the Holy Spirit doesn't show right up and tell us what to do, which leaves us to be diverse as people. Meaning have different beliefs, etc. Some folks can't fathom having intercourse with more than one person, some folks want kids and the merry life. By all means it's their right. I'm just stating a mere fact that nowhere was it ever stated by a Holy Spirit, nor an Angel about only having sexual intercourse AFTER marriage. I could SERIOUSLY give you an example of how it is NOT the way of a Holy Spirit, nor Angels to wait until marriage, but some things aren't up for discussion.

I'm going to give you an example. I was possessed during childhood by Spirits. One instance I was transported by a FEDERAL agent to the Soviet Union I think. The Spirit informed a man at a "compound" that one of his armed guards was going to be hanged because his trial was up. This means he said he served God, when what he was doing was NOT service to God. I believe he was told to tell his guard to put his gun on safety, as he kept it off safety as I remember I think because he had grown untrusty. I want to say his guard had gotten a little untrusting, or something along those lines. That meant at no notice a string was going to snatch him up in the air and strangulate him. A Spirit also possessed me and took me to another man, possibly in the Soviet Union. He was a murderer. He didn't commit random murders. He threw knives (throw knives you may be used by the Spirit). though some of the men he killed was viewed as murders by the Holy Spirit. He wasn't going to serve God upon death. He got an angel, the Spirit went to him to tell him this. This was so he got SEX, that is why he got the angel. No where did an angel nor Spirit tell him he must get married first.

The Holy Spirit did show right up and tell the prophets what man was to do. Have you ever met a Godless man that could not fathom having intercourse with more than one person? I see Godless men everyday running wild, looking high and low for women that will give in, to reenact their porn fueled fantasies that they've been preparing since they turned fourteen. The truth is that most men cannot fathom having intercourse with only one woman. But some of these men (many of which you will see on this forum) see the sin in their passion and choose to obey the will of God. It's not a simple as "some folks aren't interested in that sort of thing", they have desires the same as you do, but choose God's will over their own.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

"Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." 1 Corinthians 7 verse 2

What the devil really wants is you to keep you away from the Word of God, and meditate on it.. Never miss a day when you do not read the scriptures. Feed yourself with the spiritual milk. Get near to God he will come near you. Get far from the devil and he will get far from you.

Ok. I see your point. So what exactly is the will of God the Father in Heaven in your opinion? If you throw a scripture at me, prove it was spoken right from God (the Father in Heaven) to man.
