Okay so I'm going to put this out there, feel free to prove your point with logic and Bible quotes. Bible quotes would be preferred.

Is it okay for you wife to wear lingerie?

If its your wife, I dont see a real problem with that, especially having read Song of Solomon and its example of love and really lovemaking between a man and a woman. Though as a baby in Christ if Im wrong I would be grateful to learn so.

Umm..David, there you are aged 21 and engaged and you want to talk about married women's underwear?

In any case, I'd rather not join this discussion, thank-you.

I believe he is seeking to know the morality of the subject matter, not to pervert anything. If this not something you want to discuss, may I ask why you made a post about not wanting to discuss it? Or were you just taking a jab at the OP?

My point is that at a certain stage of life, some things are better left unsaid.

And I think you're putting me in a double jeopardy situation: to be criticized if I don't answer you and to be criticized if I do.

Blessings.

Im just waiting to be married because my fiance(I wrote wife initially and just edited it to fiance) is from Korea and Canada takes its time. Theres no point in her buying lingerie (which she is going to do when she comes back to Canada) if it is sinful when we get married. That is why I'm asking so we don't waste our time and money, thats all.

My point is you criticize this man for his post, and then you cry criticism. I dont see how that is just or becoming.

Sorry if I'm wrong.. but I was always taught by preachers, elders and other brethren that once you are married what you and your companion do in your own bed isnt wrong. (Unless it's having other people in bed with you , anything along those lines or anything that God clearly said is a sin)
So if that's true then I guess it's okay for a woman to wear it as long as it's for her husbands eyes only?

You mean you want to talk about married women's underwear?
Nope. Again youve assumed completely wrong of me. I was merely trying to point out your hypocrisy. And besides, are we not supposed to edify our brothers and sisters in Christ, or were we told to insult and flee?

So if say nothing, I'm wrong and if I say something, I'm wrong.

Interesting perspective. The only thing I would worry about that is that things like sodomy, etc. etc. but I think I'm just being very paranoid by mentioning that at this point in time. However, that reminds me of a Bible quote in the OT I cant think of, but I think you might be right.

From the way I see it as long as only you as her husband are the only one seeing she as your wife in just her lingerie then it is okay.

No no you misunderstand what he said.

He first said that I was just trying to get a moral understanding of the truth of the question. Basically, is it right or wrong, not talk about something out of perversion

He secondly said it was hypocritical for you to criticise someone, then be upset when you were criticised.

It's not that no matter what you say you're wrong, he was just disagreeing with what you said thats all.

Interesting that there has been no opposition to this. Does anyone know of a perspective that is against Lingerie, or is it all okay?

Well buying a lingerie isn't a sin as much as buying a knife would be a sin... It just depends on what she's going to do with it, murdering people would be sinning, and so would buying a lingerie to attract multiple men for selfish reasons... Using the knife to cut meat isn't a sin as God said to kill and eat, so He also made the women for the man and so boosting the attractiveness for her soon to be husband wouldn't be...

The Bible never mentions lingerie directly as I dont think it existed until thousands of years later. Though it does command that the marriage bed be undefiled.
