If I flirted with a married man, or any man, for that matter, being a married woman myself, I feel it would dishonor my husband, betray his trust, and dishonor myself and bring dishonor to God too, as a Christian. As a wife, I submit to ONE husband. And I do not encourage untoward attention from other men. It opens one up to sin, gives the enemy an opportunity. The bible says that if we look lustfully after a woman in our hearts, we have already committed adultery with her in his heart.' Matthew 5:28
She is saying that your wife should NOT be flirting. She married you, and what you look like should always be beautiful in her eyes, unless you are not grooming yourself (ie cutting your hair, shaving, bathing etc.)
God does not believe in flirting, because it is a what happens before adultery. If your wife is doing this. please talk to her privately and kindly about this issue. Tell her it hurts you, and quote the Bible about "lust of the eyes."
She may have some unmet needs that she is expressing by flirting and trying to hurt you. Maybe you might want to see a Christian counselor for both of you.

Charlie, flirting is inappropriate. Joking is OK, but flirting is not. If you do not understand the difference between joking and flirting, then be on the safe side and don't joke with women.
Cheating, adultery, infidelity, call it what you will, but this is not only actual physical sex, it is very much also in an emotional contact.
Do you flirt without feeling some attraction inside you towards the woman you flirt with? If you do then that is emotional cheating. If you do not feel anything, then why do it? She must still feel something and you are leading her on. That is wrong.
Either way, flirting with other women is not OK for a married man, it is emotional adultery.
