What if there were conditions that risks the baby's life and the mother's? I'm not one for abortion if the baby can make it out and whatnot but I wonder for the situations that is life or death... Sometimes even if the baby is not born and they find lots of defects that'll effect the child's everyday life once they are, how would it be fair on the kid? Wouldn't we have to think about them and their well being if the pregnancy were to continue on, knowing?

Same can go for rape victims. Why should they have no other choice than to have a kid that was not in any way their intention and the mental effects once they were raped? What can we say if it's a young raped victim?

I'm not looking for an argument or anything, but it's just something that should be brought to the table. I don't go for people where they say 'it's their body and their choice' and figure to use abortion as a birth control. But if this were to be in any of our shoes, THEN what would we do?

The problem of abortion should have a moral and rational answer - not an emotional one - because of how much is at stake. I won't speculate on how hard it would be for a woman who's been raped to carry the rapist's child for 9 months. I imagine it would be an emotional and confusing time to say the very least. But I don't think living with the guilt of blood on your hands would help it any. In the very least they could force the rapist to pay reparations, child support, etc. and if the woman's decision be to put the child up for adoption later then to do so.

The only time I, personally, feel that abortion is really acceptable to God is in such cases when the mother's life is in danger. And it's not just me - as a man - that feels this way. There are women who would agree.

If we who are against abortion are considered 'pro life' then those who support it should be called 'pro death' not the ear tingling pro choice.
God says everybody who hates him loves death.
it's a really tough thing in one sense because from what i can see, if the girl or woman (and their men) who were seeking an abortion had to agree to view actual film footage of what happens maybe some would change their minds. idk.
i don't understand why it's even legal. it's murder.

I find it funny, that number 3 says that it has been proven that people who get abortions do not regret it. my roommate in last school year had a girlfriend who got an abortion and he felt TERRIBLE about it EVERY SINGLE DAY and im not sure he was even a Christian.

I have a mate at work, he likes to portray himself as a hard man tell me a couple of times his ex girlfriend over 10 years ago was coerced into having an abortion by her cousin, she told him after she did it. You can see he's still hurting from it today.

The lies people are being fed are getting to be more and more fierce. I'm sure you have all heard the pro-choice arguments before, but they way they state their views as "fact" is even more upsetting. Like a fetus feeling any pain is fake science, etc.

The way the world is going makes me want to cry every day. Here is the link, but beware it's very sad and sickening the way it's presented. I just wanted people to be aware of how bad it is and how forceful these people are. The article is titled: 6 abortion myths debunked.

6 Abortion Myths Debunked — Everyday Feminism
Abortion is murder in God's eyes regardless of the laws. Being lawful does not make things morally acceptable. Most Christians do not need any laws to live a morally abiding life, laws were written for those who would otherwise break them. Very sad.

I don't like to argue this issue, however, I will add one point.

Abortion is murder.
Lust is adultery.

Is there a law against lust? or adultery? Both sins in eyes of God. Though the secular government allows us the freedom to choose whether to sin or not sin.

Similarly, should not women have the freedom to choose whether to sin or not sin within a secular justice system.

There's many cases where people who've had abortions regretted it. Many just don't speak out or are brought to attention.

Things are very strange....most pro-abortion people are big animal activists. They've put sanctity of animal life over human life. Satan has done his work very well.
maybe but most pro-lifers are also pro-war and pro-death penalty. So they are more just arguing about at what age is it okay to start killing people.

Please go to this thread, which has examples of women who were the products of rape, and how happy they are to be alive.

http://christianchat.com/christian-family-forum/86957-dangers-manism-7.html

I have a close friend who was coerced into an abortion by her doctor, because she had had some vaccines to go to South America and the doctor felt the baby would be deformed. She suffered a mental breakdown, and only giving her life to Christ kept her from committing suicide.

There is no excuse for abortion, except perhaps ectopic pregnancies, which would end up with the mother and the child both dying sooner, rather than later.

Abortionists Ply Deadly Trade OnlineAhh, the miracle of technology. The internet allows you to look up medical advice, check your medical records and even meet with your doctor. But now the internet is becoming the favorite tool of abortionists to promote and sell home abortions pills.A webcam abortion begins with an online meeting between the abortionist and an expectant mother. Then the mother is prescribed RU-486, a harsh two-part cocktail of drugs. The first pill, mifepristone, is taken right away. Then the second pill, misoprostol, is taken two days later, leaving the woman to deliver her aborted baby in her own home. Planned Parenthood’s President Cecile Richards has already made it clear that she intends to expand the use of online abortions to encompass all 50 states. And at nearly $500.00 per prescription, RU-486 is seen as a real money maker for Planned Parenthood. Most state legislators are just now discovering that this practice will be coming to their own backyards. And it is causing quite an uproar.Already seventeen states, backed by National Pro-Life Alliance members and other pro-lifers, have banned the practice of webcam abortions. And others are trying to pass their own legislation to keep online abortions from coming to their state. So far, seventeen states have banned webcam abortions, including Louisiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. If your state has not already banned internet abortions, please lobby your state representative to cosponsor and vote for legislation to ban webcam abortions.

these same pro-choice people will try to have people arrested for the death of a pregnant dog for killing the puppies which they think they are still dogs but when it comes to babies they are tissue. My wife and I have lost our first daughter she went o to be with our lord through a miscarriage .the doctor called her tissue which made me very mad .. but I held my baby girl "Faith", she looked just like her mom! she had a big nose but I will see her again ! abortion makes me sick! I could not watch videos of this type its no different than what Nazi's did to the Jews. Abortion is directly from Satan and is selfishness multiplied.

Well, I honestly couldn't say for others, abortion/no abortion. However in my case, If I had to choose between my life and the life of my baby, I would choose for the baby to live. In the case of rape, I would have the baby and do my best to love that child. Deformed? Either God will miraculously heal him/her or we will use today's technology to give that child a chance in life.

No, I have not experienced the intensity of those situations and I know that it is easy to say these things now. But, I love God and I love following Him and I know, through reading the scriptures, that this is what Jesus would do.

Most MOTHERS would willingly give up a part of themselves so that another part of them can survive.
