Thank you for sharing your past long/hard experience in life.

I am not sure how I gave you the impression I knew Jesus as you did.

It happens I am created as a rational and intellectual man besides being spiritual.
So when I was teen (about 15 years), I felt an important need to find out, once for all, if Jesus sayings (as written on my Arabic NT) agree on the Church's teachings, I use hearing of, or not.

So I analysed carefully how Jesus and Church (starting from the one at Vatican) present every teaching and idea about life and God. To my big surprise, almost all Church teachings contradict, in a way or another, what Jesus says very clearly. Naturally, I met the few priests (or Pastors, if you like) whom I used respecting to a great extend when I was a kid to hear their opinion/view (one priest after another) of what I discovered. I got another surprise when I heard them reply something like "If we preach Jesus sayings as they are exactly, we would lose almost all our Church's attendants. So our main role is to find always how to please, in the name of Jesus, the hearing of our believers."
(Matthew 6:5-8) is an example of which ANY Church in the world has its own good reason not to remind Christians.

Anyway, as long the way you live gives you real peace in your soul, you can be sure you are on the right path that God made for you. I mean, how do you think I am sure I am on 'my' right path?
I don't think your conclusions point to that you are completely rational, or your intelligence has given you truth. Here are some of your points I disagree with and why:

We know there is a power above man power because man can't make grass grow, man can't make the Grand Canyon, or create a baby. Even cloning takes work of the Lord. To make all this happen takes superior intelligence, beyond anything man has. Scripture and the part of us that is made to communicate with God are the only places we can go to for instructions on any of this work that has been done. You are going to the church and to men to find out about it, and taking their word for all of it. That is not a good source for accurate information.

Your report of what the church says is very limited, and even I from my tiny corner of the world have found different reports of the church about what they think God says. Your reports, that you are taking as thorough, are both man made and limited.

You are basing learning truth of the way the world is created and meant to run at its best on whether it gives peace. You can even take certain medicines to give you a feeling of peace, and it certainly does not prove truth. So even your truth proof is in error.

Kerim,
If you are His and have His Spirit and Word, then you will be speaking in a way we understand clearly. (His sheep hear His voice, and another they will not heed). You don't need to speak in riddles or cryptic speech. All this leads me to wonder if you have been born again by the Spirit of God.
Please don't tell me, I looked to you as a preacher. When I say Jesus saved me from my ignorance (that I was born with as any other baby), I don't mean my vocation in life is, in turn, saving other people. Instead, I believe that every man is also created with a powerful brain as mine (if not better) hence he knows better than I what may be good or bad for him.

In my case, I didn't need listening to any man (other than Jesus and myself) to know my main path in life. Naturally, I also don't expect being heard by anyone who is looking seriously for his path in life.

As I read this, what came to my mind is death were is thy sting? This statement helps with knowing even in death for GOD's people HE still protects. Those who truly are Saved are HIS disciples we don't cling to any religion status we simply use the Holy Bible as our instruction guide and by the leading of HOLY GHOST are we led to know what are our mission in life is. There is no fear in death for we know that absent from the body we are present with the LORD.

I Pray this is helpful :")

Blessings!!!!!!!
I see nothing wrong on what you wrote.

On the other hand, please note that what I will say about death and afterlife you likely never heard of... despite its simplicity

When you die you will witness you(soul) departing or getting separated from the physical body you had on earth. It then goes to hell for damnation or Heavenly places for rest..
Become a Christian, ask God to Reveal things clearly to understand things better...

God Bless..
You gave a part of the theory of what I will try to explain how it will happen, practically speaking

To most people, death is a mystery—something unknown to be feared. Knowing the truth about the condition of the dead and having the resurrection hope can impart courage to us if we come face-to-face with “the last enemy, death.” (1 Corinthians 15:26) This knowledge also makes it easier to bear the pain that we experience when losing a close friend or a relative in death. “Jesus is the resurrection and the life.”(John 11:25)
Also to me, death was a mystery since all people (of all religions and sects) in my surroundings have inherited the idea that God created our brain with limits so that it cannot find some (if not all) important questions we may ask about our life.

But Jesus gave me a precious advice (known as the 1st commandment) that God doesn't play with me a fake game that has locked doors without their keys hidden somewhere.

"Love your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with your entire mind."

I heard it as also trusting God's Creation to no limit (including my brain that God created to assist me in discovering what I need really to know about life (God's gift)... as opening the locked doors by their well-hidden keys).

Do you mean you don't feel 'real' peace (and joy) in your soul in the way you live; the way you kindly described above?

I don't talk about world's peace (even regional) that can NEVER exist in reality other than in songs, paintings, movies, series and, of course, leader's great speeches.
