Good day,

Hi, I am igy, pardon me if my english is not quite good. I just really needed someone to talk to about my problem, for this past year I have been hooked up by my friends and started using crystal meth. I want to stop this, I had tried quitting and honestly I had been praying, and seeking God's help. But still the temptation of using it gets stronger and stronger it seems that the devil is doing everything to make me use it again. What will I do. I cant tell this problem to my family even to my mom, because I do not want her to get hurt if she knows this. I really want to stop. What will I do.

Please help me :(

Thank you God bless us all.

Is there a church near you where you can speak with the pastor?

Meth is extremely addictive. That is why you keep going back to it. I know God can help, but you might need to go to a rehab center and Narc Anon to get support to quit this terrible addiction.

God could completely deliver you from this addiction, and I pray he will. But sometimes God wants people to work through issues, sometimes to learn and grow, and then be able to help others.

Please talk to rehab if it is possible. And also walk away from the so-called friends who got you started on this. Go to a church and find godly people. I know there are many good churches in the Philippines, so I pray you will get the help and support you need.

If you are near Makati City, please attend the Celebrate Recovery at Citimotors, Pasong Tamo corner Don Bosco Sts., Makati City, every Tuesday at 8pm and look for Tok Corpus.

I'm not an expert but how you have started being hooked is also how you will be over it... a process bit by bit from smaller to bigger. And you will go into DABDA, Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. It's not an easy process. But if you are determined and willing to do what it takes... you will overcome. Pls. hold on to that little strength of resistance. Nothing is too hard for the Lord, and nothing is too hard for someone who humbles before God.

I'll pray for you.

"DABDA, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance."

That is the same process of healing when a person fell in love for another and she / he left, for whatever the reason... that´s for that idea.

Meth is extremely addictive and extremely dangerous. It would hurt your mom to find out. But it would also hurt your mom if you keep using and your life keeps going downhill. It would hurt your mom worse if you died, or if you stole from her, or a million other things that you could be tempted to do if you keep using. So tell your mom or tell your dad or tell whoever can help you. Tell your pastor and get into some kind of program. I am not familiar with your country's flag, so I couldn't look up the program in your country. But Teen Challenge/ World Challenge has a Christian-based rebad program that has had very, very high success rates when compared to other programs.

You know it's ok to go through these little phases in our lives, not saying it's right but one way or another you will learn from it. It does get boring after a while. The feeling of feeling crap all the time, it becomes a vicious cycle.
Don't put yourself in the position where you are going out and around people that encourage you to do it. That's a start. Small steps, will lead to a big leap of faith. Don't be so hard on yourself, and remember that God is with you every step of the way if you give your life to him. Good luck.

Well, secularhermit, my bro., The DABDA is another acronym, a word didn't exist but made sense. Please include that to our inspirational acronym referring to my recent post. :) It's applicable to all wallks of life. Relational per se. :)

I already did it, before I left.

And thanks for saying "our thread". That speaks well about your kindness, too.

It's a hard habit to break for me saying "we" instead of "I". "ours" instead of "yours". We are family here in CC, remember? And muchos gracias for noticing kindness. We all have a portion given by God. Let's make it grow! :)

Hi Igy, I am a caseworker at a drug, alcohol & gambling rehabilitation centre run by The Salvation Army. If you have The Salvation Army in your town/city you could maybe see if they provide a service that could help you. I recommend attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings if they are held in your town/city.
