Rather than trusting faith, trust that whatever happens, God is in control! He has obviously touched your mom, and she has quit smoking too, which is vital. It is going to be slow going at first.

Death can come at any time. We could all be hit by a car crossing the street tomorrow. So we do have to trust God for ourselves and our loved ones. Here is a proverb I say every day, sometimes many times to remind myself I can trust Jesus for everything. Memorize this, and it will penetrate your heart as you meditate on it.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding,
In all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths." Prov. 3:5-6
