There is nothing wrong with you. God loves you. You may still have sins in your life that impede you feeling God's presence. It could be that instead of praying to Him, you need to converse with Him. Try looking up scripture on God's love and meditating on it. Thing that works the best for me is being thankful, praising and worshiping Him.
[h=1]Colossians 3:12New International Version (NIV)[/h]12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Most new Christians don't know that the Bible is not just any book.........it's a spiritual book....
Unlike no other....its not meant to be read like a school book.......in order to understand it...
you must ask for understanding....you must invite the Holy Spirit to guide you.....pray before you open it.....ask for wisdom and understanding.....then open and see what Gods direction is for you...
The words in it are living and breathing .........and never changing........its a tapestry woven together...
Words that intertwine to give us direction......i hope this will help........and may you find the understanding you need..........peace ...jo

Read it with a view to compassion - in thought, intent and action - and it should become true for you.

another way to read the bible is 2 reason with God . The bible says: quote come now let us reason together Isaiah 1:18. So there is a need to be honest. Feelings and faith are two entirely different elements. This is a lesson that I am having to learn. We all have those times where we feel like God is far away.factfact, I recently had something like that happen to me a few nights ago. I was feeling like God had forsaken me, but a friend of mine reminded Me that I had been through low times before and that God was still there and things would improve. I think that a lot if times our moods are like the weather. Sometimes they are sunny and sometimes not so much. In fact they can be downright dark. However no matter what God is with us. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is found in Mark 4. The story is about Jesus calming the storm! Check that story out for encouragement.

no, my brother, nothing wrong at all.
we walk by faith, not by sight (or feelings).
we all, at times, feel alone, but we have God's promise we're never alone.
you are never far from His presence. He sent His Spirit to dwell in you, and that's as close as one can get. :)

Martin Luther said he preached the Gospel to himself every day, because he forgot it every day.
please remind yourself every day that God loves you.
Jesus hung naked on a cross, humiliated, in love for you
.
all your sins are forgiven in Christ.
you're a new creation!
Jesus was forsaken so you will never be forsaken.
all of God's righteous wrath against us sinners was taken by the Lord Jesus.
so we can be accepted in the Beloved for His sake.

i hope you can find a church where the great and glorious Gospel is preached.
understanding will come, never fear. :)
but it does help to have a church, and a church family.
we need it! it's the way God set things up for weak people like us. ♥

we are, each and every one of us, in need of God's amazing grace every moment of every day.
and, you know? it's available to us! :)
His grace feeds us and sustains us and comforts us and teaches us.
i believe He is building a great testimony to His glory and grace in your life,
right at this very moment.
i can't wait to hear it. ♥

The more you learn, the less you'll doubt. Just remember that Jesus is your best friend; "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). He did his part, now its time for us to do ours. There's something wrong with all of us; We're sinners! Keep the faith, Christ will be back to finish his work. Just remember that the Israelites felt abandoned when Moses went up on Mount Sinai for 40 days, the apostles felt alone for 3 days after the crucifixion, but God was always with them; "For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5). And if you have trouble understanding scripture, ask questions in the "Bible Discussion Forum", nearly half the people there are semi-intelligent :)

That's completely normal to feel disconnected to God and it happens to the best of us. My suggestion to you is to continue reading the bible and praying. Its all about consistency and if you're truly willing to allow God to control your path in life. Its just like on a job, you have a 90 day period until you receive benefits. I believe God is the same way.

it takes a life time to grow with Christ. start with reading the gospel of john. its the easiest to understand. pray for god to open your eyes and soften your heart. pray for the faith of a saint. it took me 15 yrs to come to believe in ALL of the teachings of my church. I fought certain concepts. just accept on blind faith I decided and I did.
