I have a baby due around August 10th and I was wondering what name I should it. I'm not sure if its a boy or girl so it would be nice to have both. I do have a preference I would like the name to mean something biblically, but be unique. One name I've though of for a girl is Hupai which means overcome. Any suggestions?

I like Nathaniel, David, and Daniel for boys. Abigail, Sarah, and Miriam for girls.

I actually like the name Jezebel, but I don't like the character and connotation associated with it, so I'd never use it.

The main thing I thought about was not my son’s actual name (although important) but what nickname he would be tagged with (I knew I was having a boy). For example, I like Joshua but I do not like the nickname Josh. My son’s name is Jacob which I purposely picked because Jake is a strong, manly nickname and most people call him just that.

Two names I have liked a lot that are pretty unique (for boys) are Judah, and Canaan.

My daughters middle name is Ruth, which is unique in a way because it considered to be old fashioned.
Eve is also a name not used much...but is unique. Could even change is up a bit and go with Eva.

Just some thoughts/

I like the name Magdalene Rachel ...after Mary Magdalene, and Rachel was the wife of someone in the Bible...cant remember the guy's name right now....but I think Mary is too common so I went with Magdalene...plus she could be could be called Maggie.

I like Johnathan David for a boy...after the two friends in the book of Samuel.

We've have narrowed down some names.
For a girl we've got: Hupai (overcome), Serenity(peace), Abisha (gift from God).-- Zach and I really like Hupai and Abisha the best because of the meaning.
I'm having a hard time finding a unique boy name that I don't have to worry about being butchered by other people.

If it's a dude, you should name him Wug, of course. But, if it's a lady, you should definately name her Falmari. Which means Sea Elf in Sindarin. You are elves right? Near the sea? In Hobbit culture, it's customary to name firstborn daughters after flowers, and sons names that would dictate a characteristic, or attribute. If I ever have a child, I'm naming them something that cannot be pronounced with human tongue. Probably a symbol that looks like some kind of weird fish-hook thing. We'll call him, the baby currently known as Wug's child. His monnicre will change as he ages. What's cool, is there are no laws when it comes to naming children. You can give them a name without any vowels. You could name them Mgnlswbpt, and when they get older, and start to question it, you can tell them that it's an acronym for many names. But never tell them what those names are. It could be funny. But, f'real now, check the meaning of any name you decide, and also, run through in your mind to think of anything that might rhyme with the name, or sound close to the name, just to save your child any unwanted ambarrassment. Whatever you decide, I'm sure your kid will like it, and make it their own.
