I tried punishments that would teach a lesson rather than spanking, but I'm not against a good swat on the backside depending on the circumstances. Never did me any harm when I was a kid.

As a child myself , I was spanked. I thanked my mom at times for the spanking because I knew I crossed a line. But I also knew that some of the spanking were not necessary. It was just her way of teaching ow not to take dangerous risks in life.

At first with my children, I tried to adopt a spanking discipline lifestyle and the Lord spoke to me before I even tried. He told me what sort of discipline would work with my son and what sort of discipline will work with my daughter.
I had to study them and communicate longer than I thought I would, invest in my own patience. It does work.

Sometimes spanking only work to achieve one purpose. is to create fear and redress if it is effective. if you HAVE OR MUST continually do it, then it lost its purpose and you have to stop. that's what I believe

study your cild, spend more time, understand, discuss, be firm.

Good words, and I agree. The focus should be on the lesson you want to communicate to your child, not the means of it. Figure out how to communicate the lesson to each child, because each of them are different.
