The local school system where I live does not teach American history, the founding documents, writings of the founding fathers. They teach history from 1887 on. The years of the philosophies of Darwin, Marx, Freud. R u getting it yet. Also Marxist John Dewey's principles for education. Welcome to the public school.

Today it is even worse. Instead of children being taught the founding ideals of America, they are being drilled only on the ugly parts of our history. So young people come away with the idea that this nation was founded on evil only, the worse nation on earth. Children now feeding on out right demonic pornography via the internet. Technology unstoppable. Liberalism gone wild.

But the state of things is even worse than that. About 70 percent of the so called Christians on any given 'Christian' site are nothing but smart butt, potty mouth jerks that have no interest in His word holiness, or honor whatsoever.
I know many 'holy saints' personally that have no problem with Hellywood crap movies or any problem robbing and lying in their business affairs. I've been around. I'm on to you.

So if the body of Christ has lost its saltiness and is deader than dirt and therefore has no power to stem the flow of ungodliness and insanity and has no real desire to do so, what is this country going to look like in about 10 or 15 years?

Now if you do not believe me about the smart butt holy ones, just read some of the answers I get on this like I've been getting on other issues. We're in real trouble. My job. Sound the alarm! In the Name of God will any one dare help me! I've been shouting this from the house top for almost 40 years now and few believers are responding. Slumber and sleep is the order of the church and God help the christian that speaks up . Outta the sin-agogue he'll be cast.

Yet, with this post, you've stooped to "the smart butt holy ones". So, what makes you any different than them? at this point?

I am more holy and righteous than anyone else. Why can't more people be just like me? Ugh, look at that tax collector praying over there...

Perhaps he was counting his blessings given to him by God.

Yet, your tone is very condescending and attacking, critical. There's not a hint of love anywhere in your post. I would think someone who has 'spiritually arrived', like you, would show love, not arrogance and insults
Funny you refer to 'potty mouth' people, yet i have met Christians who think 'crap' is a cuss word, yet here you are using it. Does that mean they're holier than you?

Except that I think Yet is probably right. I think as folks get older they see more negative change than the young can really appreciate. They're more repulsed by those changes because they're very real and they're having detrimental effect.

Change happens in a romantic way, I think. It soothes and relaxes in it's slowness and romances with its heavy handed behind the scenes work. Sometimes it takes a voice in the wilderness to warn; one that understands smoke and mirrors and the lies and the damage. On the other hand, Yet, the world is lost. This is the ultimate and deliberate journey. It's vanity to try and stop it.

Some people consider reading about the life of John Adams to be a form of pornography...

I started a post suggesting that a group decide to live as the Lord would have us live. Such as spending the Sabbath they chose with a family gathering, decide not to join gossip sessions but build each other up with love, watch carefully what was put in their minds so TV, movies, and books were chosen with great care. I pointed out that it would be putting the power of the Lord into our world.

That post went over like a lead balloon.

I second this!! I was born in 1925! We didn't lock our house in the country when we went away because someone might need to use it Children didn't scream inside stores. The ten commandments were from God and Christ upheld them instead of destroying them. Sex was for marriage and those who disregarded that were the wild ones.

It most certainly was not a perfect society, but what a difference from our today!

In the 70's we went on a long trip where we had no TV for months. When we came home, TV had changed so in those months that it was the norm to fall in love and fall in bed the same day. We were shocked! It had happened so gradual that no one noticed except my husband and me.

But there is a remnant in our world who is listening closely to scripture. To most everyone, the OT was a mystery book, now there is a remnant working to understand. The old guard is shouting at them, but God is working behind the scenes and will win. We needed a better understanding of those thousands of years of our world before Christ it truly understand Christ, and that is happening.

I find it interesting when people people talk about how good their country was in the beginning, i'm mainly talking about Australia here and even so America, the first colonists came and mercilessly slaughtered the natives of the land like they were animals. Whatever 'christian' ideals they had after that is nothing.
Sometimes I think of this scripture when I think of what was done.
Habuakkuk 2:12
“Woe to him who builds a town with blood and founds a city on iniquity!

Breno, our founders were actually the same way in murdering the natives. Yes, there were some mean tribes...but I don't think giving Native Americans blankets with diseases and wiping them out was the best way to go XD also, our early founders were deists. They believed in "A" god but didn't really believe the God we know and believe today.

I will agree that American history is a VERY important subject, but Darwin and Freud aren't really subjects often studied in history classes. Maybe science and psychology. And I believe it's very important to understand the ideas behind Marx since he played a big role in world history, not that we should be teaching Marxism as being a good idea obviously. But I will agree that if what you say is true and American History isn't a subject, then that is pretty bad.

Your statement about pornography and technology is unrelated to your point and liberalism is only barely relevant. Porn is not replacing American History.

You then go on about how everyone is immoral and how this country is going to turn evil in what I'm pretty sure is a scapegoat in which you attack sins rather than the actual causes for certain issues. For example, support for bigger and more intrusive government does not stem from masturbation, it stems from people's insecurities and the failure of adults and educators to expose big government as largely untrustworthy.

There is still a remnant. The Holy Spirit will use it to accomplish His purposes.

Tintin, I did not read where he said he was Holy, are you judging him based upon his writing. He has brought forth many good points about our system. Everything on TV is horror this and horror that. The electronic games teach you how to kill, give me the name of 1 game that teaches you how to pray instead of how to kill your prey. Please read his post carefully and see if what you have written is described within.
