The Christian metal band, Fit For A King has released their third single for their upcoming album "Slave to Nothing" and this single is the song "Slave to Nothing". It features Mattie Montgomery from the Christian metal band For Today. FFAK has personally called this song their heaviest they have ever made and it has an AWESOME music video to go along with it. The song is about no longer being a "slave" to worldly desires such as drugs, sex, etc.

Ha these guys are far from the generic side. I'd recommend checking out their previous albums "Descendants" and "Creation/Destruction". Their second album is what put FFAK on the map.

I love the Metalcore scene of Christians making this type of music. It reaches people who might not listen to anything else. While I'm not a fan of FFAK I do like Wolves At The Gate, Memphis May Fire, and For Today.

So Descendants begins with an eerie backdrop for what appears might be an intro towards a build up. Oh wait, guess what, it just completely disregards that and blazes in with the vocalist shouting. And guess what, Creation/Destruction begins the same. exact. way. You could hardly even tell you were listening to two different albums. Descendants? More like Clones, am I right?

All joking aside, their heart's in the right place, and they've produced a "good" album, but if you're looking for anything interesting or musically progressive from the Christian Metal scene, this album isn't it.

Yes, Descendants wasn't too great, but Creation/Destruction had some amazing songs like Bitter End, Warpath, Identity which are all on my top 10 for most favorite songs.
