Hi,
Ive got a question. What do you guys thinks in a christian perspective about going out to techno parties. Can it fit in a Christian lifestyle? Because I like to party and listening to techno music. And when i say party i mean sober. :)

Mostly those parties are about drugs, alcohol and sex right? Oh, yeah, and music... which only serves to fuel the drugs, sex and alcohol.
So.. does that sound like a spiritually healthy environment?

The world is for an u healthy environment. And yes youre right. But when i just enjoy the music and dance, without drugs, alcohol and sex or any unhealthy temptation, what are your thoughts. I just ask this because im seeking my happiness in those parties.

'The world is an unhealthy environment' is just an excuse. We can't escape living in this world, but we do have the ability to choose what types of environments we go to. There is a huge difference between our existence here on earth and going purposefully into a place where sin is celebrated and encouraged.
And no temptation? Really? Anytime you go to a place where everyone is doing the same things there is temptation to fall into it. Period. And the bible says to flee temptation.
And 'i'm seeking my happiness'. That's the whole point... your happiness, not doing what is right.
How will this affect your witness? Someone knows you're a Christian and they see you at these things with sex, drugs and alcohol, what will they think?
You said it yourself, this is about your happiness. That is your priority. That's why you make excuses like since the world is an unhealthy environment i may as well go and support and place myself into temptations way, in ways you don't need to.

Thank you for your thoughts. I never seen it in that perspective and I think you are right. Now I need to make some changes in my life and seek my happiness from elsewhere.

There are drugs in every scene, just don't take them and avoid 'friends' who do.
There's nothing unchristian about techno ITSELF, what makes music christian (or not)
is the lyrics and the convictions of the artists...

dus hakkûh maar. ;)
