Hey, all!

My name is Bobby (B-Unknown). I live near the Pittsburgh, PA area and am currently enrolled in Bible school to become a pastor. Recently, I have rediscovered my love of hip hop and have begun to produce my first E.P. since becoming a Christian. The songs mainly detail my struggle last year when my near-fiancé left me just as I became homeless and discovered I had a drinking problem. I am not a bot, this account is exclusively under my control, and I will chat with and respond to anyone who wants to talk. Thank you guys so much, and I hope to hear from some people soon! :)

Hey thanks man. I'm on a glacially slow connection right now but I'll give it a listen in a few hours when I'm on a real (fast enough to actually watch youtube videos and listen to soundcloud tracks) internet connection.

Aw, I apologize for that. After I get all of these mastered to their appropriate sound levels, I'm planning on releasing a few lyric videos on YouTube so access can be easier. Definitely lemme know if you can get the player on SoundCloud working in the meantime. :)

So while I was waiting for someone I was giving a ride to get off work, I used their connection to catch up on the forum and run some system updates. I thought about this album and figured why not take a listen. I didn't have high hopes because most would-be singers sound like they're reading the lyrics from a sheet - emotionless, bland, blah.

This one though... I listened to two tracks and they were both really good. You have a tight sense of rhythm, good lyrics, but more important I can FEEL what you're singing. You have the emotion in your voice.

If you will give me a download link and a paypal link I will pay you for the whole album. FLAC files please - or if you have to go mp3, make it 320kbps rips from the originals. Be sure to get the originals copyrighted first. I know you can trust me but you don't know you can trust me, and it makes sense to take precautions.

Oh and by the way, the soundcloud link worked fine for me. Just didn't have enough tracks posted, I'd like to hear some more. :D

Well, I very much appreciate your compliments and encouragement, Lynx! I promise, there are a few more coming before this whole project is done.

If possible, could you (or anyone else interested) drop me your email in a private message so I can contact whenever I have PayPal and the pricing worked out?

And thank you for the precautions. LOL I know how crazy the legal stuff for this can be, so you can rest assured I will have all of that worked out before anything gets sold or sent to anyone. :)

Actually you could do a poor man's copyright and be covered. Put a CD in an envelope and mail it to yourself. Store it somewhere safe. If anyone tries to steal your work, open the envelope in the presence of a lawyer and a notary public.

Or (depending on what your plans are) you could use a CC (Creative Commons) license. It's pretty easy to apply a CC license, just put a mention of it somewhere on your work. A CC license basically protects your rights as the creator, and there are many different kinds. You probably don't want to use a CC license if you plan to sell the tracks though.

Yeah, I plan on checking into what I have to do to get all this fine and legal. CC is probably out, but I'll probably figure out something.

Did you catch the part about dropping me your email, Lynx? I promise, no annoying newsletters or spam or anything. It just might be a couple weeks until I figure out what's going on with pricing, so I want to make sure I have everyone notified for when I do.

So I don't clutter up the board, I'm just going to post new updates in this thread. This is my latest song, entitled "666," which deals with Revelation and a few other Scriptures. Hope everyone enjoys!

Uh oh... that title will bring the debaters from the Bible Discussions forum over here to yell at each other about end-time prophecy. ;)

You had to post a new song when I'm at home on my glacially slow connection... I'll have to wait until I go to work tomorrow to hear it.

Hahaha Yeah, I take a very literal stance on Revelation and end times stuff. Although, the attention would not be in the least bit bad, so I invite anyone: DEBATE AWAY!!!

One thing about it, your songs are distinctive from each other. When I listened to all four of them I didn't feel I was listening to the same song four times (like SOME groups I could name...)

One thing I might mention - I don't feel you should put "Rewind" as the first track of the album. Nothing wrong with the song, it's a good one... but I think it should be track three or four. The first song on the album should be something that grabs you. Maybe "I Died" for the first track, followed by "Nobody." Just my opinion.

Sending you a PM now about a security hole you might have overlooked.

Well thank you, good sir. And no, Rewind Session is not going to be the opening track. While I would NEVER make anything that would be considered a "filler" track, it's definitely going to be used more as a..."calm down" song, after the intensity of the other ones.

And, I got your PM. Not a security hole; just didn't take into consideration that this would be blowing up like it is. Ha-ha Once again, I do appreciate your suggestions and will take them into consideration. :)

Exactly, as a cool down song. That's what I was thinking.

Why am I telling you this? You know what you're doing. Looking forward to the finalized tracks and the album.

:) Trust me, brother, any and ALL advice is appreciated. We're all in this together, so we as Christians should ALWAYS be open with each other, no matter what someone's "expertise" may or may not be. God always does it better, and God uses fools (all of us) to correct other fools (once again, us). So, from one fool to another, keep the opinions and advice coming!

Is this in place of the soundcloud site or in addition to?

In addition to, Lynx. I'm going to have a domain name and other stuff up very soon, as well. Just another place to keep updated and get info, basically.
