I have a friend who is an alternative rock music composer/artist and he incorporates classical music in several of his songs. In fact, his music has been played in some movies & television shows.
That's what I'm kind of working towards. I have a Specialist certificate in Composition For Film and TV from Berklee School of Music. Haven't done much lately though.

The Music of Hildegard von Bingen, by Richard Souther

This music is quite beautiful and sampled a lot by bands like Delerium :)
Heildegard was born in 1098, and was so talented it is hard to know
where to start with her accomplishments :D She was tithed to the church
as a young girl. Richard Souther has worked with her music extensively.
Singers: Emily van Evera & Sister Germaine Fritz.

Praise for the Mother [O Virga Ac Diadema] Hildegard von Bingen

More of Hildegard's music as arranged by Richard Souther :) Many medieval
musicologists treat her music quite mono-tonally,
with droning instrumentation,
which I find boring LOL. Richard's treatment of it is quite innovative, and really enriches it :D
The CD comes with a 32 page booklet, with multiple language translations from the original Latin.

Only the Devil Laughed - Vision - Hildegard von Bingen

This was a groundbreaking album for its combination of Hildegard
von Bingen's beautiful sacred music alongside Richard's original
compositions and arrangements. Vision became Billboard
magazine's "Classical/Crossover 1994 album of the year."
I fell in love with it the instant I heart the first notes :D

I've enjoyed orchestras and many musical ensembles over the years and attended quite a few concerts in NYC. Among the venues I visited were Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center For the Performing Arts, the Metropolitan Opera House, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, MOMA Classic Music Garden, and others. My absolute favorite ensemble is the Waverly Consort:

I love classical music!!!
I used to not like it until I started taking music theory classes and playing instruments and now I have so much respect for it and listen to classical music all the time. It's crazy how it can tell a story without words
