Hello. I'm trying to find music that's of a certain type of feeling/sound. To some this may seem strange.

I would like to know if anyone knows either songs or instrumentals that are old or new with a really big or emotional feel etc.

As an example, ennui morricone music, 70's driven rock like ac/dc, hero by bonnie Tyler etc.

But hopefully a Christian feel or song in some way, also just tracks that are not negative. I don't mind the genre as long as it's not just new and poppy, happy "round the mountain" country or that sort of thing. Thanks all.

There's a song by Erik Satie called Gymnopédie No.1. It's a beautiful piece of music.

Yes, I've heard it before. But it's a little lacking for my taste. More of an ave Maria person or morricone in that area, like ecstacy of gold etc. Or rainbow's " touch the rainbow". Thanks though.

String music, (especially cello, for me) is very soaring and emotional. Music is a funny thing because so much of it depends on a personal response, not the music itself so to some extent others can't tell you what you will find big and emotional. Experiment! :)

Thanks for the post but that is the sort of up beat country, happy smiley stuff I noted wasn't my taste. It's just too happy for me. Thanks though. You can see why this is a difficult thread :)

If you quick YouTube ecstacy of gold, harmonica man / both ennui morricone, hitman Eva Maria ( nicest version for me) you may have a little bit of what I'm looking for. There's so much music out their but most are not to my taste. Even the bands / music I like, I only like 1 or so tracks. I feel the rest are fillers.

Well not sure if this is what you're looking for, but here a cool band I discovered about a week or so ago in my youtube music treasure searches. For lack of a better term I guess you might call it Christian Power Metal?

I would post some similar links but don't know how, sorry.

to embed a video, copy and paste the entire youtube link - the one in the address bar, not the short "share" link - into the filmstrip-looking icon in the post tools.
when you use the shorter youtube link it always turns up here as a hyperlink.

Philip Glass isn't a believer, but it sounds like you're just looking for emotion, not faith particularly, in music.
to that end . .

this movement from one of his symphonies always stirs me up emotionally, especially about 3:10 in
