Child's play. That was one of the first things I took a couple of hours to learn.

(Yeah, right!)

My guitar tastes are more along the lines of David Russel and Julian Bream,
so I'm not really a Quensryche guy.

But your playing sound really good to me.

I'm a fan of music I guess. I like a lot of different players and genres. I'm currently stuck on the album "Operation Mindcrime" and am gobbling it all up. My playing plateau'd for quite awhile and I finally pushed thru some technical limitations I had due to bad habits. So I'm really enjoying learning a wide variety of my favorite players.

Cool.

I have a guitar.

But I mostly just use one string.
Anything more than that just confuses me.

I can get a little obsessed at times. Like hours can go by and I don't even realize it. Lol

Awesome. Bro, I wore out 3 cassettes of Operation Mindcrime. That looks as hard as it probably is to pull off. What are you working on now?

I just finished eyes of a stranger by ryche, young lust and run like hell by Floyd, lunatic fringe by red rider to name a few. It's getting to where I can learn a pretty advanced song before breakfast where they used to take me days or longer.

Upload'm for us. Eyes of Stranger was my favorite song on that album mainly because of the vocals and drums, but the melodic riff is awesome. run like hell has/is always on my playlist ((at least once a week)) haven't heard Lunatic Fringe for years but the muted pulse and tone of the guitar is great.

Love the slide on lunatic fringe as well. I've been posting stuff to YouTube. I'll send you a link.

I spent a lot of time on Take Hold of the Flame from The Warning mainly because the opening is so cool. The solo is off the hook.

I misspoke. It's breaking the silence not eyes of a stranger. My goal is to learn the whole album and perform it live at a local venue. Need to light a fire under my band. Ha!

That album is special. A guitar clinic if there ever was one.

Degarmo was a stud songwriter guitar player and bg vocalists. He was so much of what that band was. Especially on rage and mindcrime I think. Those are my two favorite albums. Love every single song. I think my favorite all time ryche song is gonna get close to you....so creepy and dark and then the bridge shifts to this major key happy thing. Lol

No kidding. It's been a great study so far no doubt. I think I've plowed thru a couple of the more difficult ones. I can also play speak.

Gonna get close, yeah I love that album and song. Tate is amazing, sad to see what has become of them...guess it's the "nature" of the biz.
