Two good and free sources of Christian music(or any other style of music) music are Pandora.com and You-Tube. With Pandora you set your parameters for the type of music you prefer and Pandora will call up many songs that are similar to your preferences. You can then use Pandora to purchase the music like on Itunes or Amazon. You-Tube is also a good source of free music that will allow you to find the style of music you prefer and lead you to artists that match your preferences.

Both sources are a good way to find Christian music (or any other style of music), but it will take some surfing time to find what you are looking for. I have found that Christian music is a great way to praise the Lord and bring us closer to him. I feel that good music speaks to the very core of our being, and that Christian music speaks to the very core of our soul. I have found great pleasure and inspiration from listening to Christian music and hope that you can find what you are looking for.

Check out Leeland and Tenth Avenue North if you like Contemporary Christian :) if you like Hip-Hop and rap, try Group 1 Crew and KJ-52 (five two, not fifty-two!!) :)

I'm not sure there is anything that legitimately compares to those you have mentioned, while still being "Christian" music. There are similarities, but it wouldn't be strong similarities.

To summarize my point: The more "Christian" it gets, the less worldly it will be. Which is your priority?

I agree with Jimmydiggs, many people at times try to compare these artists and others to Christian music. They say that an artist is a Christian version of Drake, sadly we as humans like to make such comparisons. As for upbeat artists I like For King & Country, Everyday Sunday's song Calculate, and others. I listen to a lot of that music on Star99.1 FM. You can listen to it online at their website www.star991fm.com. Thanks and God bless!

I'm not sure I understand your point. Are you saying that the people you posted are worldly, or that Christian music can be worldly and still retain it's "Chrisitanness"

Im' saying that Christian music DOESN'T have to be soft and classical like, it can be 'harder', or what I think you are calling wordly. 'Hard' music doesn't have to be wordly....I don't know why everyone always assumes that? There is such a think as Christian rap.

If most people heard what Christian music I listen to they wouldn't associate it with Christian music because it doesn't fit the mold of what Christian music is "supposed to sound like".

Let me ask you this:

Christian music, or secular music... which is more worldly?

Secular music is the definition of worldly music.
I don't understand why you're objecting to my post then.

"The more "Christian" it gets, the less worldly it will be."

What's so wrong about that?

Nothing is wrong with your point, I was pointing out that Christian music can sound like secular music.

I think allot of people have a skewed view of Christian music because they never adventure into it to see what there is.

There is allot of music that legitimately compares to the music the OP asked about. There are similarities and some of them are strong. Take the songs I posted in the thread, those are just some examples of Christian music that sounds like what the OP asked about.

I think we are talking about slightly different things...hence the confusion.
