hahaha... nice. I think that was me, Zao, but i'm a not a big fan of power metal, but they are good for the style. Though i must say Laying The Demon To Rest is pretty beastly.

Power metal, if it's done well is really good, up till this point I only really liked Rhapsody of Fire and Narnia

Other good christian power metal band is Divinefire, specially for the disc hero and the newest.

For me the flaw in power metal is the vocals. They begin to all sound the same and don't really do much for me from the start. Of course i've always been a fan of death metal, so i love vocals like that. Not that i can't appreciate good singing. I grew up on hair metal, and a lot of those guys had pretty solid voices. Shoot, one of my all time favorite vocalists is Eric Clayton of Saviour Machine. Just seems with PM its like they recorded one vocal track, and all bands use that track on each song. Though if their voice is on a lower range, or has a bit of gruff to it i find it much more enjoyable.

I used to hate power metal for years because of the vocals, then someone introduced me to rhapsody, and the fact that they had Christopher Lee narrating their albums. The idea of songs about dragons and elves and epic battles was awesome to me and far outweighed my vocal preferences, so I learned to get over it.

I am unable to get over it. I'm a big 'voice' guy with music.

You should pick up their newest album... As the World Bleeds. The song "I Am" is awesome IMO :D

Also not Christian but have you ever tried Blind Guardian? I mean I saw you said you liked Rhapsody of Fire... Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle Earth is all about that kind of stuff. So is most of their other songs really but that album is their magnum opus IMO. I mean Blind Guardian is pretty much the kings of power metal so I doubt you haven't heard of em but.... I always thought Rhapsody of Fire was a poor mans Blind Guardian xD Maybe just different tastes....

Edit: Wow... I just noticed Theocracy released their first music video :D This was another good song from the new album... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWc9KOTkB4A

I never actually heard blind guardian, but their name always reminded me of just plain guardian, so whenever I see their name I automatically think, "Bottle Rocket"
