Hey CCer's, I'm not used to posting my music about and I don't generally write lyrics but here is a song I wrote, its preformed using my (not so) fantastic computer Keyboard. I'm sort of not like 'known' or anything, I spend my days writing music on my own and generally am not too supported when it comes to this - so be gentle, yes?

Anyhow, sorry to shamelessly promote myself!

I wish we had a forum to exchange original music here. The poetry forum does not seem right, and hardly anyone posts anything original here, and I doubt many would see it. Every follower of Jesus should be free to write praise and worship songs, and they should be shared. And many would have personal testimony songs they could share. Seems like we should have a lot of worship junkies finding their way here.

It's hard to know what to say until I know who it's intended for. It has good interpretive dynamic range, but I do not see any overall form. If played live, it shows pretty good foundational improvisational skills. It would be hard to set lyrics to, I think, not that that is necessarily important. Have you ever tried setting anyone's poetry?

Check out my website. I'm a retired (do Christians ever retire?) professional worship musician among other things. kenbehrens.com

This isn't specifically christian, its more just a song meant for Ambiance and sound rather than have lyrical content that would jeoprodize my standing (if any) on the site. Not to say I write anything explicit or anything, however, my lyrical songs are generally about overcoming limitations set by others.

Sometimes I prefer to write moody songs, that speak through music rather then anything else. This is one, and being it has no lyrics, I figured itd be safe and people might appreciate it.

I completely understand the "jeopardize my standing" part. I'd really like to look at something Christian you have written. Not to worry if you have not. When I was 23, I had written only a couple Christian songs, and several operettas. I started writing Christian at about age 24. I think "Break Forth" was my first. It's in the website, unpublished.
