i put a link in the goth thread, because this music is largely darkwave, but there's some fairly heavy "classic" industrial noise going on here too. lots of guitar and sermon samples. enjoy!

ABreathAwayFromGlory/the-flesh-is-weak

Listening to a second song, this stuff is pretty sweet. The sampling reminds me of Deitiphobia. A little techno. Industrial. Nice mix of styles that mesh well together, even if they somewhat contrast at times. Good find.
Oh... some CoD Disengage sounds... that's what i hear too.

Hey Guys I'm new here. Here's some Black/Death metal from South Africa. Their album is due soon.

Welcome to the site D3
Those are all good bands. I wasn't aware there was much coming out of SA. Only band i can think of that came out of there is Ashton Nyte/The Awakening, of which i'm not a big fan.

I noticed most of the bands (that i paid attention their location) are in Pretoria. Is there where you're from, or just where the bands are springing up? I have, well, had a good friend that moved back to Pretoria about a year ago.

So, somehow the last Your Chance To Die album slipped past me last year. They have dropped most of the 'core' elements of their old sound and have gone in a more melodic DM sound with a touch of a tech sound. There's something lacking, but for a style change like that it's to be expected until they spend some time refining their sound. But all in all it's better than some of the more seasoned bands of the genre.

Yeah all of those bands are from Pretoria, but I'm from Johannesburg (which is about an hours drive from Pretoria). The reason for all the PTA Christian bands, is that there's a large Alternative Christian Community in PTA. So most of those bands happened to originate from within the community. There's a few other Christian bands scattered throughout the country, but most of them tend to lean a bit more towards the core side. Here's a list, if you're interested:

lyrics for the track above ^^

We live our lives in confidence
As if it will never end
Living in riches and elegance
In our minds, we pretend

The path of destruction we travel
Through actions without thought
A deadly fate we unravel
For pleasures that we have sought

Prepare, prepare
Prepare for the Judgement

Nothing goes unseen
All flesh is deemed guilty
Our blood will not be clean
Such is society

We can not buy salvation
Nothing saves, no sacrament
Only One can save from damnation
And He will have his Final Judgement

Prepare, prepare
Prepare for the Judgement

That Kirche Gothica is the darkest thing i've heard since Klanks Still Suffering.
A little repetitious, but good. *goes to links for download
