That punk band i posted, Headnoise, was a chick vocalist, as well as this band.. Granted all these are full on screamers but still played in heavier type music

Welcome the club, power :D
Christian metal albums go all the way back to 82/83 i believe, when the first bands began surfacing. By 86 the scene started taking off with bands like Barren Cross, Saint, Bride, Messiah Prophet and Styper all releasing albums.
Old Tourniquet was awesome stuff, love their first 3 CD's, after that i lost interest for the most part.
Hmm... just saw a band called 100% Proof from 1980.

Yes. The Crucified were awesome. The members went into so many different directions as well, projects and bands.

Far as full female bands the only two i can think of aren't really metal, Barlow Girl, more of pop/radio rock, and there was a band that put a self released album out, that i never really heard much of them though. They were called Ilia. But haven't heard anything from them in a while.

Just out of curiosity i did a check for Ilia and they are apparently still putting out music, though the newer song i heard sounds way more mellow rock, almost ccm, whereas the old stuff was much heavier.

Flyleaf is a great rock, metal band. The female lead is a quality screamer too. Check out their videos on YouTube.

I forgot about Deborah, I need to get a hold of one of their CD's, especially since I'm on such a black metal kick.

Headnoise I saw live years ago, and I used to be friends with a guy that played drums for them.

LOL...so funny you mention Rez band. They asked my band at the time to open for them, but we said no because we were not fully prepared & didn't have enough of our own material...so we ended up doing roadie work for them one night. Holy cow...that was one loooooooooooooong day.Their roadies seriously bust their buns. What's crazy to think is that they are not even a huge scale band like yanno someone like Ozzy. The level of prep that goes into a show just for 1 gig in one town is unreal.

Immortal Souls is wicked, I just heard them for the first time a couple months ago, love them.

Strongarm/Stretch Armstrong, both bands were awesome. Win, win if you ask me.
A mate of mine won a Stretch Armstrong cd off the local christian radio station back in the day, and I remember really liking it. At the time, I didn't have any christian music like that.

Heres some Aletheian. Got a unique sound that interested me.

Honestly, I am not that happy with this genre anymore. Extol would most likely be my favorite christian metal band. Where is the progressive metal bands in the genre? BTW I am new here.

I'm not huge on prog metal, I like music to be catchy, but I do agree. Christian metal today is extremely lacking in the originality department. It seems like ever since Demon Hunter came out, and As I Lay Dying did Frail Words Collapse, every christian metal band decided they had to do over produced metalcore with sing songy choruses. Nothing Original at all.

Extol was definitely one of the best that was out there, although Antestor just released a new album which I must say is quite awesome, I enjoy Crimson Moonlight as well. I still want to start a three-piece christian death metal band that still has some catchy hooks to it.
