Thoughts on this Christian band?

They are a Christian heavy metal/rock group that are strong believers and have a sound that would appeal more to younger people and rockers, hence how I found them. But they have gotten criticism for being named "Demon Hunter". I interpret it as hunting your inner demons and letting God and music be a hunter for these things.

I enjoy some of Demon Hunter's music. Their band name has two meanings. Hunting demons and fighting your inner demons (both involve spiritual warfare).

Oh cool, I am glad there are others that like them. :) I had a shirt with a small logo of theirs on it, and there was a discussion over their logo and how it was evil to some. I never thought of it like that.

Don't worry about what others say, worry only if the Holy Spirit convicts you of it. I'm not a fan as such but I think their cover art is very clever and well done. Also, they're able to reach people that other Christians just can't.

I am, personally, a big fan of Demon Hunter! I have never come across anyone who thought badly, or said anything in a negative manner, of them. They are a VERY popular group, where i'm from and where I live now.

Oh wow, I guess I have just been in the wrong areas. So glad there are fans of them. If someone new drops by and doesn't know them, definitely give them a listen. Well worth it!
Wish they were more popular here with my Church groups. I am almost scared to mention the name at times, haha.

Lol. I know what you mean. The youth group I was involved with before I left the area was all about "alternative" music... Christian rock, rap and such. As long as the message was considered to be in line with our beliefs, we loved them. Demon Hunter is one of my favorite bands EVER, along with Skillet. Skillet is another great band.

I used to be a huge demon hunter fan, I've read many an interview and they make no question of their stance on religious beliefs, even though I'm not a huge fan anymore I have a tremendous amount of respect for them for standing up and claiming Christ at a time when so many "christian" bands refused to accept the title just to sell some albums. I remember when they originally came out too, they were the only christian band that sounded similar to slipknot (at the time), so it was a definite win for me.

Don't let people knock you down, these christian metal bands are a huge ministry to a group of people that otherwise may not hear about Jesus in a way they can relate to.

These guys have been around a long time and are fairly popular. I've seen them live and have all their albums, seen lives footage of them, read interviews by them. I remember when they first came out. Two of the founding members were already established musicians in the Christian metal scene with other bands.

Far as the name goes, there are always people out there looking to tear someone down and find fault, even in the name of God. I think the name is awesome.

Yeah, known about those guys since released. Find them very boring. Cookie cutter metalcore. Love their covers though.

I love Demon Hunter!! If you like them you should also check out bands like August Burns Red, Underoath, Wolves at the Gate, The Devil Wears Prada, I the Breather, Haste the Day, and We as Human. I would also recommend these bands which are more along the lines of rock: Red, Write this Down, 12 Stones, Project 86, Thousand Foot Krutch, Sent by Ravens, Nine Lashes, Love and Death, Disciple, and Decyfer Down.

Yeah, I suggested a lot of artists, but they're all awesome! Another note if you like metal or rockier kind of music you should check out Christian radio stations theblast.fm and radio u.

Please don't feed the troll. He's deeming the music non-Christian because he can't understand the lyrics because they aren't singing. Despite having no biblical backing for this and using pure personal opinion to make this judgement.
