Well, depends on your idea of hard rock... but going by the generalized definition i'll give you the more popular ones..

Red
The Letter Black
Love & Death
Skillet
Pillar
Thousand Foot Krutch
Third Day
Kutless
Fireflight
Disciple
Seventh Day Slumber
hb
Casting Crowns
MercyMe
12 Stones

That should be a start. And if you are looking for harder bands, they exist as well.

I'm glad you responded to this Ugly,'cause I only thought of a few on yer' list. I'm not up to date on any of the christian rock stuff, plus I always think of old christian bands & think of them as hard rock & other people call it metal...like Guardian,Whitecross,X-Sinner,Rez Band,Petra,King's-X.

Stryper??????? - (Circa. 1983-87)
They were big back then by golly...........(Even had a write up in Time Magazine).
Now it's bands who sound like Slayer to the words of the 23rd Psalm. - Kind of a misappropriation
of emotive differences.
"GOD LOVES YOU........AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" - Kind of like a christian band backing up Ronnie James Dio,.........(Ronnie James Deity).

Sorry to hear of your brother(GPS) being booted, he had so much to offer in the way of making other christians small in his own eyes.

JGPS? Yes, he had some strange beliefs but I didn't see that side of him. Also, it's Tintin, please. Not Rin-Tin-Tin. The former is a boy detective/reporter, the latter is a dog.

I don't consider them "metal",but I know people who think they are "too heavy"...so that's why I say Mr.!!! LOL...ok...well here's someone who has some rock/hard rock stuff and is a sweeeeeeeeeet guitarist! Mr. Phil Keaggy.

I can remember playing air drums to styrper. At the time it was all I was allowed to listen to. I thought it was rad.

haha, me and my buddy were in a youth group. They had an air band competition. We were by far the most extreme. He had my guitar, which weighed a TON, and the strap unhooked early on and he had to hold this beast with one hand through the rest of the song. I had his acoustic, with bottom strings cut off and in glitter had the word BASS painted across the front hahaha. We did a song by a band called Mr Bishops Fist. Crazy hardcore stuff. Only one listing on youtube for em, and it's live and doesn't sound great. I should post their demo myself.
