Fair enough. I enjoy Scandinavian folk metal and symphonic metal. The latter is quite orchestral but also uh... metal-lic.

Hey, there is nothing funner than ripping arpeggios and scales to a minor chord.
I love it! But there is more to music than that......so much more.

Oh, I listen to most genres. Not country music though, can't stand it. I don't listen to much classical either but there are lots of great movie etc. soundtracks that are orchestral.

Hey Tintin; listen to songs written by Cole Porter, or George Gershwin, or Richard Rodgers......or any other writer of the 20's, 30's, or 40's.
Try some artists like Django Reinhardt, Bix Beiderbecke, or Bunny Berigan.
Listen to the bands of Harry James, Artie Shaw or Benny Goodman. Then you will get just a taste of the musical panorama that God has given us.
- (Those guys were just a part of one scene - 20's to 40's).
Yet music spans so much more than that.

You want to hear a great christian artist? Keith Green (He was 70's, but full of the Holy Spirit).

What I'm trying to say is there are many types of music, God has given them all.

Keith Green? Yes, I know his music. Not really my favourite, but some good Spirit-soaked lyrics. I haven't heard of all the others but I do enjoy old-school jazz music.

The best three composers were J.S. Bach, Mozart, and Ludwig Van Beethoven;
all were believers and all died before 1830.
- The golden age of music was a 150 year period from about 1710 to 1860.
That is when all of the chordular patterns and orchestrations were set.
After that it's been gravy, as in picking apart the remains of what those geniuses laid down.
(The geniuses were also many others in that time period.)

Music builds on itself.
There is no inherently evil music, there is no inherently righteous music.
(''Amazing Grace" was put to the tune of an old bar{drinking} song.)
Music is a tool, like a hammer or a saw.
Now, there are evil composers(or composers who gave their gift to Lucifer) - Such as Wagner.
But most creative people lean on the God of creativity - (Jesus).
I love music.
It is the language of the soul.

Not sure what you meant when you said, "When some one tells that he/she had a vision and it's true people do not want to listen."

God's TRUE PEOPLE reject visions that someone and might claim are from God. The Bible is their reference. If God is going to use someone in such a miraculous and public manner, it would be recorded along with the other signs God has told us to watch for in the last days.

But many will claim that their visions are from God and they will perform "miracles" and "signs". YET, he will say that he didn't know them. (You know the scripture...or at least you should). Who said that Satan is scary and evil? To the contrary, he was called the most beautiful angel in the heavens. He became disobedient, not ugly. He knows God and Christ personally. He challenged that he could turn all mankind away from God and claimed that mankind only worships God because of the things God provides. He knows the kind of things that will lead people away from God. The Devil knows what humans want and his system promises all sorts of things, including "salvation". Satan knows that all he needs to do is make something "Bad" or "Wrong", look "Good" or "Right". We're not going to buy into a misleading idea that comes from someone that appears threatening or evil. He knows that most people who want to believe, won't question if anything appears to be from God. That's why God demands that we study and get a Bible knowledge, so that we can learn the difference between True Godly worship vs. counterfeit worship.

God isn't looking for freaks. He demands that his people have accurate Bible knowledge to keep ourselves separate from the world. God is directing his Holy Spirit toward the ones who remove and separate themselves from world, who wash themselves clean in the blood of the Christ Jesus. God's people do not reflect the popular fashion and culture of the world in their worship. The do not adopt the traditions and style of world and incorporate into their worship so that it will be appealing to the people. God's word stands on it's own. We don't need "visions". We don't need Rock, Hip-Hop, Rap or whatever to make religion fun. Anyone practicing sexual or any other sinful misconduct is removed from the congregation to protect the spiritual health of the flock.

When we see any organization that does not practice "Christianity" as it is described in the Bible (like the ones you're describing); We don't need to get judgmental and upset, cuz God's day will resolve all things. When we identify false religion, we're expected to search for the organization that most closely reflects God's True worship. First thing that will be undeniable to you when you find it is their bond of 'Love' that crosses language, ethnic barriers. God's people are not separated by the world's politics and trends; They worship unitedly, regularly sharing in the spiritual banquet that God has laid out in the Bible, they speak the same language. Worship of God is not motivated by a want for Salvation, though that is what the hope is, but most important to them is to learn what it is to worship God and serve as Christ's subjects out of love and respect for the arrangement that they have set up to rule over the entire earth. When Satan's system of things that IS the world, and all the people who have chosen to reflect that system are destroyed; Only God's proven followers, 'the Great Multitude", will inherit and remain on the earth. Churches that are more concerned with converts than teaching these simple truths, cause their followers to miss the point and stumble others.... like you.

A realization is not the same thing as a "vision".

And people wonder why Christians are often recognised as non-thinking morons. Please, I choose my own hairstyle. I cut my hair in the shape of a cross, my mustache in the shape of a dove and my beard in the shape of the empty tomb. I'm going to Heaven, baby because I'm holier than all you sinners!

No. Stop this crap now. You're scaring away people who might otherwise turn to God.

(That said, some of what you've said is correct - prosperity gospel being non-biblical bollocks and the hypocrisy in the church). But just so you know, you're a sinner too. Have a great day.
The bible says all HAVE sinned...meaning past tense...but I will have to say I'm am not a sinner because I have been Born of the spirit and those that are reborn by the spirit of God which is the holy ghost do not comit sin. So u claim that ur a sinner if u want but as for me Im no longer a sinner. Will I sin again? Maybe, if I chose to give into the temptations. Jesus was born of the spirit and tempted at all points yet without sin. So to say we are all still sinners is a lie. Jesus told us that we can be perfect and holy even as his Father in heaven is perfect and holy.

Please don't use the Bible to justify your Gnostic beliefs. Because that's what they are. The Enemy can't create, only God can. Every type of music was created by God. The Enemy has corrupted every part of creation but can't create anything.
So God created rap? Every form of music is not for God. And worldly producers producing ""Christians music" is not of God. What fellowship does unrighteous have with righteousness? Jesus told the church in his letters that he rather have us be hot or cold. There is no in between with God, rap and rock is of the devil worship and praise is of God...are u in between? Straddling the fence? Hot or cold?

NotConformed2TheWorld, I admire your zeal for Godly truth but you must also read the Bible in context. Not being conformed to the world, means that Christians shouldn't make idols that society makes. It means our lives should be different from our non-believing neighbours. It doesn't concern entertainment genres, in that it doesn't mean some are evil and some aren't. That's Gnosticism, that's not freedom in Christ. And yes, we're made righteous by Christ Jesus and his sacrifice but we remain sinners, in the sense that we still have the ability to sin because the Holy Spirit works with us and while we're redeemed, on this earth, we're works in progress.

Im no longer a sinner. Will I sin again? Maybe
1 Timothy 1:15

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst."

I think that if you're not a sinner, Christ isn't for you. as for me, I continue in His grace - & i need it daily! Every moment of my life has 'fallen short of the glory of God' -- i had nothing to offer Him when He took me, and i still don't. any good that comes of me is completely due to Him.

So God created rap? Every form of music is not for God.
Psalm 150:6

"Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!"

Psalm 96:1

"Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth
"

Psalm 96:13

"Let all creation rejoice before the Lord"

heck read all of Psalm 96. it sure doesn't sound like the psalmist thought the scope of what could be used to sing praises the Creator was limited in any way.

maybe we could all find it in our hearts to sing along:
