Go ahead, you're never gonna take me. You can bend, but you're never gonna break me. I was yours, I'm not yours anymore. Oh, you don't own me! Go ahead, put a target on my forehead. You can fire, but you've got no bullet. I was yours, I'm not yours anymore. No, you don't own me! You're tempting me to look back, but everything that we had together was a lie.

I rejoice and celebrate the fact that I can truly say this to my old bondages and sins, compromises and rebellions, because of Jesus Christ, who has given me the ability to tell the devil, sin, and all the darkness of this world, "You don't own me!"

There was some Disciple buried deep within the metal thread. Poke poke!

If I had to go for new style disciple though I'd say Scars Remain would be my favorite album.

Some of the youth from my church went to their concert last night and posted so on Facebook, which immediately made me think of Dear X and I shared it everywhere, because that's just the way I am. :)

People tend to forgive the youth, so it's easier to blame them and let them take the fall.

This is sarcasm, for anyone that doesn't know me well enough yet to get it. :) And for those that do, please continue on with your regularly scheduled day. Thank you. :D

Well, you've got it down to an art, so high five!

It's fun to be facetious.

And remember, when you need to justify something, just say it's for the children. That shuts people down on the quick fast. Try it some time. There don't even have to be children present.

I see that I am preaching to the choir.

Are you a master of the "there was traffic" line of excuses as well? Those work wonders - the first few times. Then you need to switch it up to "the sun was in my eyes."

There was traffic and the sun was in my eyes. Go big or go home...isn't that what they say?

Genius!!!

My friend always says anything worth doing is worth over doing. I also say that sometimes. It's very true.

Or the family of quail... :)
Helping entire family's across the road now.

Hmm.. how can I add to this.

And a guy had a flat tire and I helped him change it. It's a miracle I wasn't run over, it was rush hour and the shine off of all the car hoods kept throwing the sun in my eyes.

A guy had a flat tire? Really? :p

So, as I stopped to allow a family of quail to cross the road, the car behind me swerved to avoid hitting me, as the sun was in our eyes, and the driver didn't see my brake lights. They hit a tree. I safely maneauvered my car to the side of the road (after the family of quail was safely on the other side) and went to see if I could help the driver of the car. Turns out it was a van with two nuns and four orphans, on their way to the local charity center to retrieve the donated Christmas gifts for the orphanage. There were no injuries and the van wasn't damaged at all. They were just a little shaken. So, I returned to my car, where I retrieved the donuts I had left home early this morning to purchase for the office, and gave them to the nuns and orphans. Then, I followed them to their destination, just to make sure they arrived safely. As I left the charity office location, I considered stopping for more donuts, but the traffic was horrendous and I knew that I had already been delayed enough. And that, boss, is why I was three hours late this morning and do not have donuts as I said I would yesterday.

I am glad everyone was OK, but that sounds like a movie!

Won't they be looking for damage to the car now though?

Otherwise, yes, plot for a movie right there.

They didn't hit my car, you see? They swerved and hit a tree. The only damage would be to the nuns van. No damage whatsoever to my car. The one flaw: they could ask to see the donut receipt in order to reimburse me...which would be a truth detector moreso than a reimbursement, but I could always say it was attached to the donut box, which I gave to the nuns, you will recall. And, to continue in my absolutely wonderful goodness, I would then say that I have no desire to be reimbursed and leave it at that. Then, of course, they can ask which charity house, so I'd have to actually know if this sort of thing was going on and which place it was going to and time the story just right to make it all plausible.

And this is why God doesn't want His Children to lie. :) The lie builds on a lie which builds on a lie and next thing you know, you can't remember your original lie. :)
