this one:

read these lyrics and think about Christ:

I know a place where I can go
When I'm alone
Into your arms
Into your arms
I can go.

I know a place that's safe and warm
From the crowd
Into your arms
Into your arms
I can go.

And if I should fall
I know I won't be alone
Be alone anymore.

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

There are some!

The sing I saw is the concern Christian might have on those we could fans, because we don´t know what live the are leading (neithe it is seen what in privacy it be done).

Some concernment as you might feel those who praised GOD in an altar or church band. (Who am I to check that? I have not control over people´s life, except my praying for them to overcome their faults, like I have mine).

I do love Journey´s, some of Avril Lavigne and not "fan" of TFK (Canadians ones)

(Thanks to that young lady who led me to "meet" them online)

To me this is a relationship love song, and I think this song has a Christian faith implied though I would not categorize this as Christian: I don’t know.. but when I listen to this, I can’t just think of anyone else but..God.

I am finding out that maybe I was wrong
That I've fallen down and I can't do this alone
Stay with me
This is what I need please

Will you sing us a song
And we'll sing it back to you
We could sing our own
But what would it be without you

I am nothing now
And its been so long
Since I've heard a sound
The sound of my only hope
This time I will be listening

Will you sing us a song
And we'll sing it back to you
We could sing our own
But what would it be without you

This heart, it beats
Beats for only you

My heart is yours

I haven´t seen the video (I seldom see videos) (Later on I will check if I see that girl/woman)

I have THIS at my playlists on my MP3 phone.

She has such a voice. She sings at ease, unconcerned and un caring.

This selfdenial is deeper when I hear her singing. For a man this means much more, as a Christian, it is so sweet than my Spanish also fails to express how deep her words could be.

I don´t know about people´likes but, if I close my eyes, I could be daydreaming at ease, listening to a woman like this (this is why I need to see how I se her in my daydreamings).

ha! HA!

If I get married, of course, I have to stop listening to these "hunny" singers and their songs (I guess my eyes drift when daydreaming hearing the beauty GOD HAS GIVEN WOMEN to sing...

The same applies to Avril Levigne (a mmaried woman I respect) but, at the same time, I love how she sings.

Signature:

A daydreamer.

Ha! Ha!
No images... Ha! Ha!

But I want to see her...

There was another singer I like (without knoiw she was married: Marcela Gandara). When I knew she was married, I stopped enyoing her voice.

Same aplied to JAci Velasquez and many others.

My weak "rule" is checking if they are married.

Ja! Ja!

I don´t know about women, but this is one of those mistakes I was self-indulgent.

I don't listen to them anymore, but back in the days before I was a Christian, I listened to Hoobastank a bit. Their song, "The Reason" definitely can relate to the spiritual side of things.

A lot of Josh Groban's songs can be used to worship God if minutely tweaked.

This song could vaguely feel like a reference to being lost in the desert, like say an Israelite, and then asking God to rain His love. Seri has a hauntingly beautiful voice too. I love me some vocal trance. I've never stopped liking that track since the day I heard it.

Empty dried out spaces in between
The land is broken like my heart
Feels like the desert in need
Feels like the desert in need
Let your love rain down on me
Love rain down on me
Give me what I need
Love rain down on me, yeah

Give me what I need
Empty dried out spaces
The land is broken like my heart
Feels like the desert in need
Let your love rain down on me
Love rain down on me
Give me what I need
Love rain down on me
Give me what I need

But I'd take real worship music first :).

I'm going real old school on this. Simon and Garfunkel Bridge over troubled water.

Speaking in the documentary The Making of Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon said, "I have no idea where it came from. It came all of the sudden. It was one of the most shocking moments in my songwriting career. I remember thinking, 'This is considerably better than I usually write."

I had to laugh at that.

I'm surprised no one has posted any Killswitch Engage...

The early stuff especially. That and Soilborn where they say "today is the day of salvation." They never took a religious stance, but it was pretty blatantly obvious.

Make me feel serenity when all is revealed
So easy to look back at life and question
But I must seek the strength
To push forward
Want to see what's so beautiful inside
As we drink of life
Absolve me through your suffering
You teach me to inscribe
These words upon my heart
You cover me with the shadow of your hand
I will not lose myself in everything that tears me down
Because you stand by me
There's no one to blame for my transgressions

Not entirely sure if this song is even secular and not out right Christian, but I suppose I will let you all decide that. I personally, in my mind, see it as referring to Jesus. Pretty good song either way though in my opinion. Song is called Serenata Immortale.

"A gift to be adored, a gift of grace, a gift that will never end" Seems to me like even if the composer did not intend it, that such words could very easily apply to our Lord Jesus.

Don't pretend you're sorry,
I know you're not.

You know you got the power,
To make me weak inside.

And girl you leave me breathless,
But it's ok.
'Cause you are my survival,
Now hear me say.

I can't imagine life without your love.
And even forever don't seem like long enough.

'Cause every time I breathe I take you in,
And my heart beats again
Baby I can't help it.
You keep me drowning in your love.

And every time I try to rise above,
I'm swept away by love.
Baby I can't help it,
You keep me drowning in your love.

Maybe I'm a drifter,
Maybe not.
'Cause I have known the safety,
Of falling free into your arms.

I don't need another lifeline,
It's not for me.
It's only you can save me.
Oh, can't you see?

I can't imagine life without your love.
And even forever don't seem like long enough.
(It don't seem like long enough, yeah)

'Cause every time I breathe I take you in,
And my heart beats again
Baby I can't help it.
You keep me drowning in your love.

And every time I try to rise above,
I'm swept away by love.
Baby I can't help it,
You keep me drowning in your love.

Go on pull me under.
Cover me with dreams.
Love me mouth to mouth now,
You know I can't resist.
'Cause you're the air that I breathe!

'Cause every time I breathe I take you in,
(Every time I breathe, yeah)
And my heart beats again
Baby I can't help it.
(Baby I can't help it)

I still actually listen to them but just on a seldom basis now.
One of their band members actually claimed that their band’s roots are Christians, however they ventured too far from that. I think they just play secular music because they understand that most listeners or fans may belong to diverse faiths.

Thanks for your posts so far...there are plenty of stuff here I didn't know or haven't heard before. But I remember someone (I forgot his username) from this site who also suggested this song:

I think Madonna's Frozen has some interesting thoughts from a Christian perspective

Unable to post lyrics as my internet disconnects as soon as I switch sites (which I find really odd :p ).

Yeah but it's Madonna...

The woman who practices Kabbalah. I'd pass on that one.
