A good way to learn is to read a familiar Scripture passage over and over. Such as Psalm 23 or John chapter 1. (Try it!)

I love the Sons of Korah! I have spent a lot of time reading the Psalms over the last 10 years, and they have ministered to my heart, soul and mind.

I wish I had seen this yesterday. I am in a Bible study and we were doing Psalm 51.

Part Polish here, too! My maiden name was Polish, but my goal is to learn Russian and/or Ukrainian. Just to make it a bit more interesting, with the Cyrillic Alphabet!

Hi Ms Angela: The Cyrillic alphabet isn't difficult to learn, actually...

Up here in Canada there are lots of Ukrainians, as you would know, especially in the Prairie provinces.

Do you read the Bible in Polish?

Blessings.

Yes, that does sounds like a good way to learn, though I need to learn Swahili first before anything. My wife is Kenyan and we plan to go back home for a visit for the first time hopefully next year God willing.

I don't read or understand Polish at all. My father and grandparents spoke in Ukrainian. I do read the Bible in English, French, Spanish, German, Hebrew and Greek!

Not giving my maiden name out, as there are only a few in Canada, and it might lead you to my mom! LOL

My Ukrainian/Polish grandparents immigrated to Canada at the turn of the 20th century, before WWI and the Russian Revolution. So strong Orthodox influences in my life, but also grandparents who believed in the grace of Jesus Christ, salvation by faith. That is what you get when you read the Bible in Ukrainian, or any other language, I think!

It's good to read the Bible in different languages because you can get fresh angles on verses.

I love the Psalms.

Blessings.
