100 years from now, your opinion here will not be remembered..can you imagine that? If so, offer up your testimony and promote JESUS CHRIST in these Forums and therefore, by reaching others and sharing HIM, you are laying up treasures for yourself in heaven. It would also make much better reading material.

Ok, NO OFFENSE IN HERE. That´s practical and useful Gospel but, if this was addressed to me, permit me to say that, I don´t want to treasure anything and, if I would be granted the things I long (or longed) I prefer them NOW, not next life.

I haven´t joined God, neither Jesus for future gifts or a kingdom. I did it just becasue there´s so much evil this world and. at the same time, I have loved and enjoyed good things here, for 53 years and, if i could treasure anything, I would! Just for those things I have enjoyed HERE, not there, becasue I´ve never been in heaven (and God said He would come to be HERE in Revelations).

Just saying, as any ppl do and thinks.

:)

Hi!

I recently knew about "House" music, I like it too.

But this is my confession, I like the music for amusement. I seldom paid attention to their lyrics, except I like it or heard something wrong.

I like several songs from Journey and, in spite I prefer ladies singing, I´ve enjoyed Steve Perry´s lyrics, such as "Send her my love" or "Melody".

I hope he becomes an angel singing in God´s backyard, at least (I know nothing about his religious background, except he sings with his heart) I guess!

Well! His trade was selling records, being sought and admired or anything else, but I believe in those fruits, same way those who sang against kings or dictators promoted freedom, those days in France....

He sang against dictators and kings? Whaddayamean? He WAS the King...

(of pop that is)

Not MY king, but still...

Still wondering about House. Also, Steve Perry at least sang stuff we can listen too without being slimed, lol. And I always liked him. And I'm one to believe (lol no pun intended... "Don't stop believing") that God moves through some secular music upon people's hearts as well. This is coming from someone who stopped listening to secular for 14 years. Now I flip it on occasionally or look up songs on YouTube sometimes. I am actually working on my full testimony right now, and I'm including music because music has always been a large part of my life... And I'm including the positive with the negative... And how Christian music touched my hearty, and still does in ways secular never could.

Hmm!

We have a lot in common femalelamp. I do beg you to let me know if you ever published that testimony...

And, of course, I do agree with you regarding Steve Perry (Don´t stop believeing) and I´d like to add "City of the angel" as another of those songs.

Those are too much "secular" I don´t know very well, because of my shortage of vocabulary. I haven´t heard bad words lately and, since I don´t have the time or an everyday internet connection to dig deep online to get the music I´d like to take with me "forever" (like those I downloaded as MP3) I´m thankful I´ve enjoyed a lot of "neutral" music, although I hate SALSA and several others I wish I had a switch to turn OFF my ears when I had to forcibly listen to the pagan music which explicit said things I´m against, but...

Lately I was planning to get a bunch of TRACKS to keep with me, without words, but I got tired of the place and the conditions I was working on, so I missed that chance to the next life.

He! He!

@Dydymos

Whenever I saw several of his videos I saw his narcissim and several others things you know best than me but, without being ill biased against him, my heart still enjoys (and dances) good things he did, but i won´t give him more credits than those I already gave.

I wish I lived in the 80's, it seems things were less complicated then.

We had an 80's night at my favorite bar a while ago, people came dressed in 80's outfits, and they only played music from that era. We had so much fun! But it was sucha weird experience when I stepped out off the bar again, into the world of hipsters, smart phones, indiferent people without ideals etc... I felt kinda lost [lol]

The video is blocked in my country, apparently because it is some kind of copyright violation.

Here's the same video for anyone in the USA.

And that drum machine is sooooo 808.

Nothing blocked online here (in my communism) except the freedom to get dollars to flee away to another country God leads me to)

Who told you cannot live that way or era now?

I do wear that fashion becasue I like it, since those days of Disco music (but I never dressed like John Travolta, because I hate thosE POPULAR clichÉs)

The good thing, I guess, it is that music do not need words to be enjoyed.
