No need to worry about that, CA outlawed this type of therapy for juveniles over a year ago. The interesting thing is this same type of therapy is used on teen sex offenders with good success rates yet it's outlawed for use on the teen GLBT community for their sexual aberrations.
Conversion and Aversion Therapy when it comes to LGBT people often includes being locked in a room with a naked person of the opposite sex and being told to touch each other. Sometimes includes a form of electro-shock aversion therapy, whereby if the person is aroused by thoughts or pictures of homosexual pornography they are shocked. Also, included in this therapy is often food, sleep, and water deprivation as part of creating a hostile environment to homosexual thoughts. These forms of "Reconstructive Therapy" are despicable, and the fact that any Doctor, who has sworn to do no harm, would support such acts on children and teenagers is disgusting.
My friend, not even sex offenders are placed through such torture today. Most ex-gay ministries do not even support conversion or aversion therapy.
