City threatens to arrest ministers who refuse to perform same-sex weddings | Fox News I'm not going to regurgitate information that you can easily pull up in the link I posted here. However, I will present to you my opinion as well on this article. I have a question for people that represent the homosexual population in terms of rights. Why do homosexual partners who seek to become married think it is okay to pressure people into marrying them knowing full well what their beliefs are to begin with? How hard is it for them to just get married in a courthouse? I wonder if the problem is people who are homosexuals and are outside of the Church as a whole or the problem the Church is facing is groups of these "devout Christians" who believe that Homosexuality is not a sin to begin with? Why don't we ever hear of groups bashing Islam groups for their strict beliefs against homosexuality? I don't really know. The answer is this: you can't be a practicing homosexual and a Christian. The only true way to demonstrate belief is repentance. Frankly, I may have stepped on toes here. But, I honestly do not care. I used to be a homosexual who struggled with a lot of things when I was younger but I have since repented therefore, I have room to speak on this issue because of my experience. Please, do not tell me I do not know of what I speak because I have been there. Thank you. Just feel free to express your opinions about the article. :)

Thats what happens when you run a public business, it's illegal to discriminate.

its the war on Christianity.

And nautilus, it has nothing to do with discriminate. It is gays who are seeking out people of christian faith and pulling this garbage just to cause trouble. they sure won't go to the local mosque and pull this stuff.. only Christian's get attacked by the homosexual mafia.

It's a sad reality we live in now. We cannot be asked to compromise our faith for the ways of the world. I think the only option a lot of non-popular Christian businesses is to find a way to be a business without being a technical business...maybe be titled a non-profit organization? I dunno. It's just heart-breaking to me.

I haven't seen them pull this in a church either. And to be fair you don't see many muslim groups parading around the country with God hates fags signs, and telling them they are going to go to hell like Westboro does. Which whether you want to associate with them or not, they are still thought of as a christian group. So maybe it's a little tit for tat

LOL, that's because they don't have to in Muslim country's, their signs would read "Allah calls for the death of All fags" anyway. LOL at you trying to make Islam sound accepting of homosexuals.

Do realize though that this is a lawsuit that was just filed. Hopefully the Judge throws it out.

They probably won't throw it out. If obvious Christian cake owners have to make a wedding cake for homosexuals, then what is to stop the judge from putting them in jail?

Difference between a business and a church though. Also, this is a federal lawsuit. Federal judges tend to be a bit more reserved in their decisions, knowing that they're words are often scrutinized by the Supreme Court.

This is an obvious Christian business. The homosexual couples can easily go elsewhere they KNOW will perform it for them. The only reason why they don't is because they WANT to make a scene with Christian businesses. Notice that a lot of homosexuals that are not so radical get misrepresented by the radical populations. A few of my homosexual friends are ticked off at events like this as well because they KNOW that churches are against it and they can easily go to a court to get it done. It's not that complicated.

Okay so here's one answer...Don't run the business. This business shouldn't even exist as a "Christian" business, because marriage should be done by ministers and priests. So work at a Church, not open a business.

But the chapel is also registered as a for-profit business – not as a church or place of worship – and city officials said that means the owners must comply with a local nondiscrimination ordinance.

Unfortunately there are negative tradeoffs to having a society where no one can be discriminated from a public business.

The law that makes it illegal for a public business to discriminate business based on skin color, also makes it illegal to discriminate based on living a sinful same-sex lifestyle.

It's time to reexamine which liberties a business owner gives up when they go into business in the public square. We need laws that protect consumers, but also protect those who invest their money and effort into a business.

Are you trying to tell us that homosexuals actually discriminate between people of Christian faith and people of Muslim faith, so much so that they'll go to one to get married and avoid the other??
Nawww, say it ain't so. :p

Its no problem for muslims in the western world refusing gay "marriages", cos they can always use the race card, which until now trumps gender.

I understand what you're saying, and am in no way defending what WBC does, and just wait until the Muslims have more numbers than us here in the US, I guarantee that will change. When Mohammad was writing the Quran and the Muslims were the minority it was all about peace, then as the populations got even in numbers it was all "live and let live", once they got the upper hand and could dominate it was all "kill the infidel" and "be not friends with the people of the book" (Jews, and Christians), my main point is the Christian has to go against Jesus teachings to be that way, the Quran calls for it. I agree with you though, self professing Christians can be donkeys too.

That trend seems to lead to a man willing to marry several women would be approved or, elsewhere, several men would marry one lady...

Contracts! Contracts! and HUMANISM.
