Mark Miloscia is a former Democratic state legislator in Washington who switched to the Republican party because of his dismay with the way Democrats treat people of faith. The former Southerner had no idea just how hateful some in his former party are, but now he knows.

A website that opposes Miloscia posted a cartoon of him that is vintage Catholic bashing. It shows him wearing a bishop’s miter holding a rosary. The inscription alongside the doctored photo reads as follows:

  • ”Republican Mark Miloscia came from the Deep South…with plenty of baggage.
  • “‘Mississippi Mark’ has always worn his church on his sleeve. Rather than represent the
people of Federal Way, he has best represented the people of The Vatican.”

Below this statement is a list of six positions attributed to him, including one that says, “Lobbyist for the Catholic Church.“
It is not certain who posted this anti-Catholic political ad. We will do what we can to get to the bottom of this. While his opponent has distanced herself from this despicable ad, we need to hear from state Democratic leaders about it.

I don't see any catholic bashing. The pope's organization is not catholic, but a Roman sect. The catholic church is the universal church, the Body of Christ which one enters by Spirit Baptism, not by baby-sprinkling (not in Bible). The papal organization has little resemblance to the ekklesia founded by the Lord Jesus, described in the Bible. The papal system of idolatrous saints & Mary worship is antithetical to scripture (no other gods before me). There are no bishops' miters, no rosaries in the Bible. There is no salvation by works in the Bible.

As a catholic myself, I am glad we were not bashed here, though we do get bashed a lot, partly by our Roman catholic SCOTUS which has caused baby-murder to flourish and shot down morality.

Now all are invited to join the catholic church, though when you do this, you must focus on trusting Christ as Savior, which will result in your incorporation into His Body.

Any reading this who have written off the Lord Jesus as Savior, demoting Him to mere chance-giver, are urged to repent & to depend on the Savior for your eternal destiny.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for
He shall save His people from their sins.

Are you insane?! We protest and pray for the end of abortion throughout the country. How dare you accuse us of supporting the murder of children in the womb?

I would't pay much attention to Atwood's litany of lies ("The papal organization has little resemblance to the ekklesia founded by the Lord Jesus, described in the Bible. The papal system of idolatrous saints & Mary worship is antithetical to scripture (no other gods before me). There are no bishops' miters, no rosaries in the Bible. The United Nations, the media in general, the Obama administration, the Gay Marxists, are all at war with the Catholic Church. Why? A superficial focus on externals is part of anti-Catholic bigotry. The false charge of "salvation by works" is a constant drum beat, no matter how many times and how many ways this lie is corrected. So what is the bigger picture here? How is anti-Catholicism from the private level related globally? Why are so many "Christian" cults so anti-Catholic? Why is the focus on the Pope's hat more important than his words? I will attempt to draw a parallel with the anti-Catholic rhetoric found among some fundamentalists, "born-agains", evangelicals, non-denominationalsis, Protestants, Seventh Day Adventists with global persecution of Catholicism. Civilization is at stake and everybody is next.

Seems like the catholic way and the federal way both lead to destruction. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life not Washington or politics.

Linking an Article:

When you post a link to an article, please click the article title and then navigate to the actual page with the article, and link THAT PAGE (called a permalink) rather just linking the homepage of the website.

If you just link the homepage, then when the article moves from the homepage, nobody will be able to locate it.

If a topic is especially controversial, it might be removed from a homepage in just hours... sometimes just minutes.

Regarding the cartoon:

1. I don't agree with many doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church,
but I wouldn't make a creepy cartoon to ridicule someone.

2. On the other hand, we're talking about a politician, not a private citizen.
Anyone in politics is open to this kind of public ridicule...
it's even legal to do so, and the courts even apply different rules for things like privacy and speech.

3. This cartoon may be offensive to Catholics, but I'm quite certain the intent was not to bash catholics,
but to bash a particular politician. This cartoon is probably a "political attack", and nothing more.
This is what happens in politics.
It's a dirty business.
In politics ANYTHING and EVERYTHING will be used against you in some way...
even if it's something harmless and benign.

Hey, they ridiculed Sarah Palin because she liked to hunt moose.
I'm not a Sarah Palin fanboy... but like... what does that argument have to do with politics?
Nothing.
Politics is dirty.
Everything about you will get bashed.
It's the nature of the beast.

What if it was at the expense of your beliefs? Like I said, everybody is next. We should stop "fruitless argumentation", stick together and wake up to what is going on in our own communities.

Paul Rubeo sat stunned. He replayed the voicemail from his son’s fifth-grade teacher and winced: “Good morning, Mr. Rubeo. Giovanni called you because I asked him to. I noticed that he has a book, a religious book, in the classroom. He’s not permitted to read those books in my classroom.” The book in question? The Bible.
