It is the time of year when the earth has died and gone dormant. Every year on October 31 (or May 1, if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) the Sabbat we call Samhain presents us with the opportunity to once more celebrate the cycle of death and rebirth. For many Pagan traditions, Samhain is a time to reconnect with our ancestors, and honor those who have died. This is the time when the veil between our world and the spirit realm is thin, so it's the perfect time of year to make contact with the dead. You may want to take a moment to read up on:

What do you mean talking and hearing only Blain? I don't hear the Lord with my hears I listen with my heart and if and when he places on my heart that Halloween is truly evil and not to celebrate it or give out candy to kids dressing up I will obey but because others say its evil I should believe the same thing? He has always shown me and taught me what to do and what not to do and believe me I am very open to his rebuke but I always go to him to confirm things for me. Geesh, if you all would be happy that this heathen don't participate in Halloween, then Fine!! I will not watch my scary movies nor eat the evil halloween candy. I understand where most of you are coming from, but I do not consider buying and eating halloween candy to be evil or satanic!! Now if I was going to slaughter a cat and offer it to Satan at midnight on Halloween, then y'all could object. But don't tell me eating halloween candy is evil because that is both ludicrous AND false!! Oh and BTW, I do NOT appreciate being called a satanist!! Not on this thread, but in another one on the subject of halloween. I DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN!!

While it may creep out some of the neighbors, Samhain is the perfect opportunity to take some grave rubbings, hang scythes and skulls on the walls, and put out other symbols of Death.

The Greek once said, don't take life to seriously what others say, they might still be talking way after your gone. Words are powerful, they are something that comes from our spirit, which God created, and what ever he does, their power in it. So don't get upset. I hate to see the way this conversation has gone. We used to tell my kids to kiss and makeup all of the time. We did not allow them to be angry with one another. Well it sure paid off. They are 15, 17 and 18 now and you would find it hard to find 3 teenagers who get along as well as these.
As for the argument remember 2 saints of old that had a very deep disagreement. I am sure that Peter and Paul are sitting at Jesus table now just loving up on each other.
As for the issue: First it is only sin if you realize it is sin. None of us were perfect when we first met Jesus. He starts cleaning as we spend time in his word. Suffer the exhortation of the word. When I was a child I new nothing about Halloween but that it was fun and I got lots of candy and everyone was involved. Children today are no different. I on the other hand hate Halloween now simply because it is a night that glorifies so much evil. I know that on this night there are not just animal sacrifices but that the satanic cult does child sacrifices as well and I have heard of women sacrificed as well but not sure about that one.
There was a satanic priest who was interviewed by a pastor, not sure of the name now as it was a while ago. This priest said it was the goal of the Satanic church to have 365 child sacrifices around the globe on Halloween 2000. I am sure they met their goal. I have a very hard time celebrating such a day by following the crowd. I am sure that God weeps every Halloween as He witnesses the evil on that day.
However, when little Betty-Sue dresses up as a princess and her brother dresses up as even a devil in ignorance and goes out to enjoy the festivities I don't think God holds it against them. They are ignorant of the gory details. The same goes with the adults who are so ignorant. There is a huge gap here that is full of grace.
Christmas, Sunday worship, Easter etc are all demonic if you search the roots and what it has turned into. That is a fact Jack, but most people still celebrate these. Halloween is far worse in that it has killing people included.

We live by our convictions and in fellowship with God though the blood atonement of the son that cleanses us from all sin. Not that we should remain in sin when conviction comes but that we are not yet all knowledgeable. We can become religious to the point that we are no longer capable of walking in love. That is a danger we all face.
As for the Vatican, do you know that the priests do child sacrifices in the tunnels below the Vatican? They might say one thing is good but they practice 10 others to nullify the one. Rev 18 tells them to come out of her less you partake of her sin. So there are Christian Catholics but God is calling them out of her.

You don't need to ask, this is a public christian forum. Yes family members do not agree on many things. We are a body here in Christ, there is power here because of the HOly Spirit dwelling, and the fact that we honor and believe in Jesus, as there is power in the blood the sacrifice of the savior.

Catholic doctrine teaches that the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. It interprets the Confession of Peter as acknowledging Christ's designation of Apostle Peter and his successors to be the temporal head of his Church. There is a issue with your post though that I don't agree with. This is the news thread, and the news article that says it correctly that it is better for children to pray and they detest that day calling it evil. What ever resentments you have with the Catholic Church you need to repent of it. Making statements like that only puts yourself in a higher category of pride, where you are never at fault, and everyone else is. I don't believe for one second that what you said, that they offer currently killings of children. If you seen this with your own eyes, then you should report it, as it is a lie that you are defaming them. When their is hate of something, whatever it is that you dislike, as them, your hatred will not stop, there, it is consuming you and taking you to other things. To the pure all things are pure, this is a bible scripture, not saying we not to refrain from evil. Jesus talked about your 2x4 plank in your eye, and remove that so you could see clearly. I've had the Catholic Church bring me each HOliday that you call pagan, Thanksgiving and Christmas ,a full table of food, for over 7 years, volunteers carring the heavy load, and seen nothing but pure love in their eyes. We remember Jesus on Easter, his ressurection, in honor of what he said to do, remember me, Christmas we do the same in honor of his birth, If I though these days were evil, I would be just as evil to sacrifice myself and my family of food and think prideful of myself that even though I am not catholic, by denomination, we are brethren in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. If I thought like a lot that these are pagan, days when Jesus is celebrated of his resurrection and even the Holidays of the Hebrews, when the Lord sat at the passover, was a holiday, feast, of him saying "do this in remembrance of me." Pride is the thing God hates, and the thing that separates you from his blessings. There are a lot of things that are good about the Catholic Church. Many things, look at things in and through the eyes of the Lord, he said, that you should not see for love covereth a multitude of sins, and that you should see, your self in your wretched state and repent. You can't be a double sided mind, maybe so, as to speak against something, sticking for the side of the Lord, then killing something with your other side of the tongue, the book of James calls this, being a double minded person, unstable in all your ways."
