Obama vows to ‘play offense’ against GOP-led Congress

President Obama told Senate Democrats in a private meeting that he plans to "play offense" against the new GOP-controlled Congress, showing little hesitation about clashing with Republicans for the next two years.

The president, who already has issued a string of veto threats in the opening days of the 114th Congress, indicated he's prepared to keep opposing legislation he finds objectionable.

This includes legislation with bipartisan support. Not only has Obama threatened to veto bipartisan legislation authorizing the Keystone XL oil pipeline, he reportedly threatened to veto legislation imposing additional Iran sanctions.

For six years, he had "Roadblock Reid" keeping bills away from the White House that he didn't want to see. Now he has to deal with unpleasant reality all by himself. So much for "bipartisanship."

I know of at least one guy who won't like this thread, either.

Oh there will be plenty of bipartisanship.

We have a folk saying here:

If something makes sense the Dems and GOP will not agree.

If something makes no sense the Dems and GOP will agree.

There is no doubt in my mind that when joe politician goes to Washington that they have every temptation in the book thrown at them and 90% of em get themselves "owned". We need to be praying for men like Trey Gowdy who are standing up to the evil machinery that pulls the strings of the puppet show we see every day.
