Before, any young person gets ideas by watching Clint Eastwood movies, we need to remind everyone that the Iraq War have NOTHING to do with 9/11.

The Republicans just used the emotion from 9/11, as an excuse to invade another country.

There were no Iraqis attacking on 9/11.

Plenty of Saudis though. Still waiting for that invasion...

To be honest, the premise of invading any country on the back of 19 stateless exiles with no tangible governmental affiliations attacking a building as part of a terrorist plot is frankly absurd, nevermind that the Americans invaded Iraq after some Saudi, Lebanese, Egyptian and UAE terrorists who trained in Pakistan bombed the twin towers. As I've compared it before, it is like the British government invading Germany because some IRA men from Ireland, Northern Ireland and New York responsible for a bombing in England trained in France once.

The fact that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction (yes, he did -- don't lie and say he didn't, regardless of what Valerie Flame-out may have claimed), was running three terrorist training camps around his hometown of Tikrit for bin Laden, and was a mass murder who had put about a million of his citizens in unmarked graves wasn't a motivating factor, in your mind?

You liberals kill me. You utterly fail to realize that the lone superpower in the world is responsible for carrying out Jesus' command to defend the weak and helpless. It is as much a command to a righteous nation -- righteous by the nature of well over half of its population knowing and loving Christ -- as it is to a righteous man.

America probably should not have gone to war in Iraq, nothing good has come of it.

As it stands though it is 12 years too late to reconsider. America did go into Iraq, overthrew the Saddam Hussein regime, occupied Iraq, and then the Iraqi government asked America to leave. So America left

Recently the Islamic State began capturing much of the broken fragments of Iraq and the Iraqi government requested America to return, and so America returned at the behest of the Iraqi government. So the current war with the Islamic State in Iraq could be seen as a separate war from the earlier Iraq invasion and occupation. For the current time being the foremost issue with this campaign is whether or not the National Iraqis, with American support, can retake Mosul.

Why did we start the Iraq War? Bush wanted to know what if felt like to be a democrat.

Would you like to discuss all the American wars that were provoked by democratic Presidents?

You have my undivided attention. Hater.

You should type slower so the liberals can keep up with you.

This is a mute and done and over issue, however if we are to go this route the first thing we must look at is the fact that Bush sr. wanted to oust Hussein during his term and failed to complete that mission. 9/11 then happened which I am sorry to say is full of holes that the government did not successfully solve in their report. Not to mention that Bush jr. said not once but twice that when he saw the first plane hit the towers. When no such video existed at each time he stated this, and then Bush jr. took us into Afghanistan in the war against terrorism. While over there he used the excuse of WMD's to get us envolved back in Iraq to finish off what his father failed at. No weapons found, and excuse he then gave was they must of slipped them by our soldiers into Syria or somewhere else.

It's not a mute issue. Young people are watching movies and getting the impression the two are linked. Because it's Republican propaganda.

Right winger supporters are being abusive in this very thread. All they have is abuse and lies, and they claim to speak for Jesus. It's sickening.

Things are going so much better since we surrendered to the Islamic extremists.

I am quite disappointed that the blood of our children shed in the sands of Iraq was for a people who will not stand up for themselves.

Same old story the right wingers fight and die so the left wingers can complain about it. If we had allowed the military to do what they knew needed to be done this would be settled but here we are with a greater mess than when we started.

Always happens when God is not honored.

Only a brainwashed jarhead could be as thick as this. Bush himself said he felt sick over there being no WMD's in Iraq, and Bush himself has directly or indirectly instigated the deaths of more civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan than Hussein ever had.

What a lot of ignorant rubbish!

You don't own all the soldiers who died! Don't use them for your wicked and vile politics!

Soldiers and free men and women able to join any political party of choice.

Stop living in a fantasy land.

There were no nuclear weapons of mass destruction, true. (Though I'd still remind everyone about the nuclear facility Israel bombed in Syria a year after we invaded Iraq. Evidence now shows that much of the nuclear material was from Iraq, though low grade and nowhere near "military grade".)

However, we did find Sarin and Mustard gases, Agent Orange, Blood Nerve gases, and stockpiles of biological weaponized viruses. All of those are classified by the Geneva Convention and the United Nations Security Council as "weapons of mass destruction."

the whole middle east is a mess largely thanks to the instability of iraq.

but yes, america can invade who it wants and suffers no repercussion, that is what you can do as a superpower. No one in authority will ever be tried over it as they've made it legally impossible for them to be prosecuted.

I'm just concerned if republicans get in next election we'll have ww3 when they start bombing iran.

No. But he couldn't reveal the information found in the article below, either. It was, after all, top secret. Why? Because Bush, unlike the left, when proven correct, resisted the temptation to say "Nanny nanny boo-boo! Told you so!"

CIA and MI6 would like a word with you.
I doubt that, since they knew about this:

The New York Times reports WMDs found in Iraq

Can't help if you and the rest of the liberal crowd didn't. The Times tried to pass off the WMDs found in various and widely spread locations over the last 12 years as "old and abandoned," and indeed they were -- about 12 years old as of now, and abandoned when Saddam when to hide in a rat hole.

Hang on, you essentially lied. You mischaracterised all soldiers who fight wars for you as essentially conservative.

You lied.

Then you have the gall to quote scripture.

That's some bold-faced and unrepentant sinning right there!
