I was even saying yesterday about how Christians argue with other Christians as to what's right and who's sincere at believing and who is not. But this seems a tad bit extreme, don't you think?

Idaho woman arrested for trying to convert Jewish acquaintance to Jesus by beating her

I know that this is not the way to convert people, let alone not to force convert them. But if anything, it only feeds onto the fact that there are people similar to this out there and other people tend to stay at a distance from Christians because of the verbal attacks they often get if they reject the message. This is going to be a perfect example for those arguing against as for modern day Christianity...

You mean I've been all wrong with the "Evangelism via Hammer" method?

Lots of folks with mental illnesses relate everything to their religion in some way...thing is most of the media types are glad to portray the faith as a mental illness.

nothing new here. all over the world, since about 300a.d., Jews, ekklesia and the heathen have been put to death if they would not comply with "modern day christianity". to them, many billions of people have lost their souls and perhaps millions have lost their lives for their faith in yahshua the messiah savior king.
'perfect example' of deception , rampant deception, everywhere on earth.

It still doesn't stop the fact of what people do to express their point of views/faith in order to gain attention, which is mostly negative within the media and it attracts more people once it starts to become 'juicy' within the story as to how drastic it gets. If it all came down towards mental illness, I would wonder what it would say about ISIS. Even then, that still puts mental illness to shame and while it's becoming popular of a subject in America, it still remains as some taboo to where people think that everyone with some sort of mental deficiency/illness are dangerous.

Yes if someone has a mental illness...you cannot relate that to folks who are just trying to express their faith in a normal way...Just looking at this lady it appears she may have some mental problems...which of course the media would not mention in their desire to shame Christians.

It just fuels the fire for those who want to label all Christians as "haters"....notice they considered it a "hate" crime. Like the guy who killed the 3 Muslims is a "hate" crime. (Ya think????)

I don't know that I took it as shaming Christians. For me it simply highlights the dangers that come with forms of blind belief, unshakable self-conviction and most of all, the idea that it's cosmically, absolutely objectively okay to exert authority -- to believe that you have a God given status of being better,or of higher regard, than someone else.

No you go out of you way to defend Muslims that kill and murder and then go out of your way to attack the faith of the folks on this forum....This lady had some mental issues but folks who hate Christ and His people thought it was a good chance to cast some blame on Christians.

Sort of like when you cast blame on Muslims that didn't do anything wrong?

Where did I cast blame on Christians in this thread. I just told you, I don't consider it to be shameful for all Christians, I consider it to highlight the danger of religious elitism and blind faith.

See ...your all for "shaming" Christians.....but you get all crazy when folks talk about all the murder and rape committed by Islam.....why do you hate Christ ...so much? Why do hate good and love evil?

I don't think anyone is blaming Christians.. This just highlights some of the dangers of faith, thinking your right and every one else is wrong.

Well the lady most likely had mental problems ...its has nothing to do with being a Christian...do you think being a muslim is dangerous?

Or a communist?

Maybe god spoke to this woman and told her to do it? Ive been told many times he works in mysterious ways we will never understand.

Maybe this one of his mysterious acts.. Have you considered that?
