Ukrainian Government View

Kharki bombers were trained in Russia, says Ukraine's Security Service
https://www.kyivpost.com/content/ky...aidan-memorial-march-live-updates-381532.html

Four terrorists that attacked a peaceful rally in Kharkiv today were trained in Russia and using Russian weapons, the Security Service of Ukraine said today. They had planned a series of further attacks following the bombing, which killed at least two and wounded 11, but were arrested before they could carry them out.
Kharkov Partisan's Statement
Kharkiv, attention! Urgent statement of Kharkiv guerrillas "We the Kharkov guerrillas, who are leading a guerrilla war on the territory of Kharkiv and in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine against the junta, were not involved in an explosion which occurred on Feb. 22, 2015 during the course of a march by supporters of ATO. We Kharkov guerrillas did not plan and do not plan our actions in the field amongst a mass gathering of civilians, regardless of their political views. We believe that many ordinary Ukrainians are fooled by the Kiev junta media. And as we have stated repeatedly, we will not put their lives at risk. In addition, we have reliable information, that the column of peaceful protesters 22 February 2015 was blown up by order of Avakova in order to enter into Kharkiv the antiterrorist operation. A year ago in Ukraine moral monsters came to power, sadists and killers that in order to achieve their goals sacrificed simple Ukrainian people. We are just a bargaining chip in their terrible game. We will win. This is an urgent application Kharkov guerrillas.

In order to fulfill the promises they made to their owners, the Kiev government in the face of Turchynov and
Avakova instigated a bloody provocation in Kharkov. By Avakova's order an attack was committed against their Ukrainian "svidomye" patriots so Turchinov could declare ATO in the territory of Kharkiv. They won't stop at anything. They are willing to kill the civilians of Donbass. They are willing to kill the civilians of Kharkov. They kill their opponents and their supporters. As long as there is the Kiev government, no citizen in Ukraine can be considered safe. Today Turchinov and Avakov killed several "svidomye" patritov for their goals. Tomorrow they are as easily going to kill dozens of people. All this is done in order to strengthen the illegal, anti-national terror in Kharkov.

Harkovchane, beware. SBU is going to make a big hunt for dissidents - they want to clean Kharkiv completely. To do this, they killed people today.
Urgent Statement from the Kharkiv Partisans

I always ask the question with incidents like these, who benefits? In any investigation it is the seeking of a motive that most often brings results. I wonder if the western media will report on the Kharkiv Partisan's statement.

This is where Kharkiv and the Kharkiv Oblast is located.

Charkiw-Ukraine-Map.jpg

The following is also noted on Wikipedia...

The 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine affected Kharkiv but to a lesser extent than in neighbouring Donbass, where tensions would lead to the War in Donbass.[SUP][38][/SUP] On 2 March 2014, a Russian "tourist" from Moscow replaced the Ukrainian flag with a Russian flag on the Kharkiv regional state administration building.[SUP][39][/SUP] Five days later, pro-Russian protestors occupied the building and unilaterally declared independence from Ukraine as the "Kharkov People's Republic".[SUP][40][/SUP][SUP][41][/SUP] The next day, the building was retaken by Ukrainian special forces.[SUP][42][/SUP] On 13 April, some pro-Russian protesters again made it inside the Kharkiv regional state administration building.[SUP][43][/SUP] Later on 13 April the building returned permanently to full Ukrainian control.[SUP][40][/SUP][SUP][41][/SUP][SUP][42][/SUP][SUP][43][/SUP][SUP][44][/SUP][SUP][45][/SUP][SUP][46][/SUP][SUP][47][/SUP] Violent clashes resulted in the severe beating of at least 50 pro-Ukrainian protesters in attacks by pro-Russian protesters.[SUP][43][/SUP][SUP][46][/SUP]
Kharkiv returned to relative calm by 30 April.[SUP][48][/SUP] Relatively peaceful demonstrations continued to be held, with "pro-Russian" rallies gradually diminishing and "pro-Ukrainian unity" demonstrations growing in numbers.[SUP][49][/SUP][SUP][50][/SUP][SUP][51][/SUP] On 28 September, activists dismantled Ukraine's largest monument to Lenin at a pro-Ukrainian rally in the central square.[SUP][52][/SUP] Polls conducted from September to December 2014 found little support in Kharkiv for joining Russia.[SUP][53][/SUP][SUP][54][/SUP]
From early November until mid-December, Kharkiv was struck by seven non-lethal bomb blasts. Targets of these attacks included a rock pub known for raising money for Ukrainian forces, a hospital for Ukrainian forces, a military recruiting centre, and a National Guard base.[SUP][55][/SUP] According to SBU investigator Vasyliy Vovk, Russian covert forces were behind the attacks, and had intended to destabilize the otherwise calm city of Kharkiv.[SUP][56][/SUP]
On 8 January 2015 five men wearing Balaklavas broke into an office of (the volunteer group aiding refugees from Donbass) Station Kharkiv.[SUP][57][/SUP] Simultaneously with physical threats the men demanded to hear the political position of Station Kharkiv.[SUP][57][/SUP] After being given an answer the men apologized and left.[SUP][57][/SUP]

Official statement from Turchynov

After the attack, which occurred in Kharkiv, during which, according to preliminary data, killed one policeman and one civilian and injured five policemen and four civilians in the city implemented the highest level of terrorist threat and launched the terrorist threat. This was announced by Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov.
According to him, during a peaceful march dedicated to the memory of those killed in the Maidan was used controlled explosive device directed action. Secretary of the National Security Council reported that the SBU with MIA launched anti-terrorism measures, "through which the participants are arrested 4 and undermine the weapons, including rocket launcher."
"Anti-terrorist measures continue," - he said, adding that the information that has SBU, the group that carried out the attack, held training in Belgorod Russia.
"This once again proves that the terrorist campaign carried out in Ukraine, has the same instigators and organizers as aggression in Eastern Ukraine," - he said.

Initial OSCE Statement
Spot report by Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, 22 February 2015: explosion in Kharkiv at march commemorating February 2014 pro-Maidan events | OSCE
On 22 February 2015 at 13:15hrs, an explosion occurred at a pro-Maidan march commemorating the anniversary of February 2014 events in Kharkiv (during which three people died in demonstrations), outside the Palace of Sports on Marshal Zhukova Street (7km east of the city centre). The SMM, who were monitoring the commemoration, heard the blast and felt shockwaves from their position 100m away. The SMM arrived at the scene of the explosion at 13:20hrs, and saw two dead individuals covered with Ukrainian flags and casualties being attended to. The SMM noted the explosion caused no damage to nearby buildings or windows. At 14:45hrs, a police spokesperson and a representative of the prosecutor’s office gave a press conference at the scene, confirming that an explosive device killed two (one police officer, and one civilian taking part in the march) and injured eleven, six of whom were police officers.
The SMM observed that the main commemoration had concluded and that approximately 500 participants (approximately equal numbers of men and women and some children) were on Marshal Zhukova Street carrying a 250m long Ukrainian national flag to Liberty Square when the device was detonated. Police confirmed to SMM that the explosion took place at the head of the march which was led by police officers escorting participants to Liberty Square. The police also informed the SMM that the device consisted of the explosive trinitrotoluene (TNT) and shrapnel concealed in a plastic bag and was detonated remotely. According to police, the device was similar to one that exploded at the Moscovyi District Courthouse in Kharkiv (see SMM Daily Report based on information as of 21 January). The incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism according to police.

For clarity, in the 3rd post where it says, "through which the participants are arrested 4 and undermine the weapons, including rocket launcher."

Is this saying that the perpetrators of the attack have been detained and are still in custody?

Yes it is.

The SBU claim to have already captured the people behind the attack and that they are terrorists trained in Russia and allied with the separatists of Donbass. Read the Kiev Post article in the first post for clarification on this.

It all seems very convenient to me, especially after the disaster of Debaltseve where it is emerging that Kiev lost over a quarter of their armour and that there are in fact thousands of dead. This terrorist attack will certainly be used by Kiev to increase the scope of the so called "ATO" as well as justify the further the suppression of dissent.

Dissent in other parts of the country has clearly been increasing recently, especially after the mobilisation effort announced in January. There are communities which have refused to comply with the call up orders and many young people have been fleeing the country.

Skin, as I said, you need to stop posting communist propaganda. That's what the video in your OP is, nothing less.

Let Ukraine be Ukraine. Stop trying to give it back to Russia. That's exactly what that thug Putin wants.

I expect hearing an alternative view to the the standard status quo makes you uncomfortable uncomfortable. That would make sense to me why you make untrue statements and imply them to my position. It is very easy to misrepresent someone by creating a strawman and then attack that strawman.

At least thinking people will see straight through it.

March 5th Odessa explosion at the Right Sector office
[video=youtube;OxyRzdNXIU4]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxyRzdNXIU4[/video]

Currently there is no information on who is behind this explosion. It could be local insurgents, which would not surprise me, or it could be a provocation to promote anti-Russian sentiment.

And on another note, the insanity continues...

Brussels - Ukraine continues to accuse Russia of illegal supplying gas to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine.Ukraine accuses Russia of illegal gas supply to Donbas

The article does not mention that Kiev cut the gas supplies off recently (as well as all humanitarian aid). I guess they view Russia as interfering in their attempt to freeze the people of Donbass to death.

I read an interesting comment the other day from the DPR PM who claimed that Kiev cannot cut the water supply off though because if they did it would cut it off to Mariupol at the same time. As for electricity, Novorossia has rerouted their supply so as to supply the areas which will be potentially cut off in the future by Kiev.

Even though the ceasefire is basically holding both sides are clearly gearing up for spring. It is so sad.

you are not presenting an 'alternative view to the standard status quo'...what you are promoting is an alternative to reality...

and my statement is not a 'straw man' statement nor is it untrue...you have yet to suggest that russian aggression is responsible for -anything- in this situation...

of course you leave out the fact that russia has been threatening to cease all gas exports to ukraine for the entire winter...apparently it is a crime against humanity if ukraine does it but you have no complaint if russia does it...

so you are again showing your hypocrisy and your refusal to take any position other than 'ukraine is always in the wrong and russia is always in the right'

I think you need to read my words a bit more carefully.
