Read about this in the mainstream Canadian media.

Takes me back to my youth, and my love of Science Fiction. I remember watching this show each week. Spock was the first truly alien person I had ever seen portrayed.

Leonard Nimoy, the actor, played Mr. Spock so well that it "stereo-typed" him and made it essentially impossible for him to ever take on any other acting role.

But in so doing, he achieved what most actors would give anything to achieve- he became an icon.

There are certain public figures that become part of you, your childhood etc. Mr Spock was one of those and it feels like the ending of an era with his passing.
