I'm not surprised. The counterbalance to this is that, unlike human beings, drugs do not discriminate. Rich White folks are susceptible to addiction and death same as everyone else. Sometimes being busted is a blessing in disguise.

Yep, article says it itself. Rich white people have money and access to lawyers, they can flip it around on the cops and get them canned if they make one little mis step. Its far easier to only target poor people.

Or.....its part of the strategy of the dumbing down of America. They want kids who have the best shot at success to get addicted to drugs.

Well yes but wealthy white areas didn't form violent criminal drug dealing gangs on every block and commit enormous numbers of wanton acts of violence, robbery, and murder as occurred in non-wealthy non-white areas.

Certainly I would like the DEA to do their job everywhere but I can understand how focusing on areas the residents have turned into war zones would require the bulk of their resources.

I agree completely, however, it only makes sense that rich folks (White, Black or otherwise) need not rob anyone for their drug money. On another note, if there was a real war on drugs, drugs would be as allusive as Bigfoot and violent crime would drastically diminish. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but I'm down with this one.
