Would love to meet this pooch............

ANOTHER DOGGIE STORY FROM SEATTLE

A black Labrador named Eclipse just wants to get to the dog park. So if her owner takes too long finishing his cigarette, and their bus arrives, she climbs aboard solo and rides to her stop – to the delight of fellow Seattle bus passengers.
KOMO-TV reports that local radio host Miles Montgomery was amazed to see the pooch get off the bus, without an owner, at a dog park last week.

The dog and her owner, Jeff Young, live right near a bus stop.
In Young’s words, “She’s a bus-riding, sidewalk-walking dog.” Young says his dog sometimes gets on the bus without him, and he catches up with her at the dog park three or four stops away.

Bus riders report she hops onto seats next to strangers, and watches out the window for her stop. Says commuter Tiona Rainwater, “All the bus drivers know her … she makes everybody happy.”

A Metro Transit spokesman says the agency loves that a dog appreciates public transit.

Saw it in the news a while ago and thought .....wonder if a cat would do that?

How about this one?

Former janitor who lived modestly leaves $6 million to library, hospital

A Vermont man who sometimes held his coat together with safety pins and had a long-time habit of foraging for firewood also had a knack for picking stocks — a talent that became public after his death when he bequeathed $6 million to his local library and hospital.
Now, over the years, how many people do you suppose saw Ronald Read walking around in coats held together with safety pins, looking for firewood, and turned away from "the old bum"?

Reinforces the adage, "Never judge a book by its cover."

Saw this, amazing...........and there was that little girl last week who was suspended upside down for 14 hours in her mothers car under a bridge. Sadly, her mother died.

[h=3]Yes, it is over, but good to read about:

The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission is taking sign-ups for its annual "Walk a Mile in My Shoes!" event on Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. More than 500 people participated in last year's event, which features a community walk from Wingfield Park in downtown Reno to the Mission on Record Street.

All proceeds support the homeless and needy. The event is ideal for large groups, organizations, businesses, students, families and individuals. Special awards are given to the largest group entries! Care cups filled with hygiene items will be given to any homeless person encountered along the walk.

Cute little and rarely photographed creature....

http://hsrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KJyxcw...I2My5odG1s/RS=^ADAWhJRTwcRTbrJfumZAK7egjJvz0o-

This furry ball of cuteness is an endangered mammal closely related to rabbits and hares. The species was first discovered in 1983 and individuals have rarely been seen since. It was first spotted in the Tian Shan Mountains in China, where it makes the holes and cracks of the cliffs its home. Despite other family of pika living across the Northern Hemisphere, these mountains are the only place this Ewok lookalike seems to feel at home.

26 year-old Yang Yun was taking part in a free diving contest (without breathing equipment) in a beluga whale aquarium tank more than 20 feet deep chilled by arctic temperatures.
