First I have heard of these guys.......Hmm

Excerpt from Article:

Dominionists believe that Jesus Christ is not going to return until He has gained control of the world’s nations through Christians. This is how they interpret Jesus’s command “Occupy till I come.” The Dominionist blueprint for “reclaiming America for Christ” is spelled out in the Seven Mountains Mandate—Christian takeover and control of the “seven mountains” of society: business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, family, and religion. Lance Wallnau, a leading Seven Mountains theologian, explains that Christians must install a theocracy governed by “true apostles” to battle Satan and his Antichrist.

Yes, I am very familiar with the movement since our church got itself involved with some of their leaders for a year or two. Finally told them they had to move on.

They certainly have a strange "twist" to the Gospel of Christ, but, then, they aren't alone in that I suppose........ :)

Actually, the basic concept is not at all bad. They feel this world would be better if Christians ran for offices and got this world operating in line with God's original intention. But, as with all religious things, extremes and excesses creep in.

Hmmmm... very interesting. Never heard of them. Although I've been led in my heart to pray for our nation and the world in that way.

By the way, that link is inaccessible. :(

I see that, however, if you click on "claiming America for Christ" in the body of the OP, it will take you to the Article. Guess they want to make it hard for folks to find out what they are up to? :)

It would be a better world if Christians ran it, with God's governing hand guiding them. Unfortunately, most Christians haven't a real clue what that means, so we get all sorts of ungodly, or barely-godly, stuff being proposed that really hasn't anything to do with being Christian at all.

God sets the governments on the Earth that He wants to accomplish His purposes, and right now it looks like He has established governments that will run society in all parts of the planet into the ground, so He can then bring home His church and send judgment on those left behind, yet giving one final chance for those who remain to see His hand in what goes on so they can once for all be led to Christ. Unfortunately for them, most will be martyrs, but fortunately for them, that means they will be in heaven with us awaiting the Millennial kingdom's inception.

I'm not sure, but I think Mike Bickle (IHOP) is still gung ho in that area.

I think he probably is, too, but I honestly haven't paid any attention to that clown in a long time. Not after he said this in, maybe, 2005?

The Great Apostasy

"... it's the church, it's the praying church under Jesus' leadership that's loosing the judgment in the great tribulation in the way that Moses stretched forth his rod and prayed and loosed the judgments upon Pharaoh.
We don't have to go far looking for false prophets. They're always among us.

Mike went to school with my in-laws. My wife and I have been to his warehouse church, (and to the strip store prayer room on the top of the hill), but they won't go with us.

OR, He could be allowing them to exercise their free will............that happens to.
