Police say California woman concocted fake abduction with boyfriend

Police investigating the alleged kidnapping of a woman from a northern California home said late Wednesday -- hours after she was "found" more than 400 miles away -- that it was a hoax "orchestrated" with the woman's boyfriend.

Wasted the manpower of 40 detectives and scared the bejeebers out of the Vallejo community. For a ransom demand of $8,500. Really??

Charge both of them with kidnapping and give them the time alotted for such a crime in the pen......justice served!

Absolutely! Something is very wrong with two people that think to waste valuable police manpower like this. Especially when there are real crime victims that could have used the attention these two wasted just to get off on being a public spectacle for their 15 minutes of "fame".
Despicable! Prosecute them, put them in prison, and send a message to any other idiots like this so they know what'll happen if they decide to copycat.
