I would say he is pretty correct with that part of the philosophical indictment. Heck, most libertarians I know own up to it. Ever hear of PorcFest?
Most Libertarians I know that have that point of view are considered to be extreme, unless Kirk is playing with words. What I mean is, I believe we can and should govern ourselves, individually. A government shouldn't tell me what I can or can't do if it affect only me. Now once that behavior affects others negatively, that is where the government sets boundaries.

But I'm still reading... *working, reading, and eating..lol*

LOL..yeah, I definitely have to take it in chunks...lol. But it's a good read; I like reading all views about a subject.

Yeah, and the tradcon point of view doesn't get very much airtime. I hate how some people frame the debate on the right as being Libertarian v. Neocon.

Of course, tradcons are the Right's equivalent of the nerdy kids who are picked last in gym class.

"I don't like talking about tax policy or foreign policy! I'd rather read old poetry and sip green tea!"

Really though, I get what you are saying, but surely you can see the immorality in the other extreme.

That and some libertarians would agree with you. They are not exactly an easy bunch to define, policy by policy.
i am not advocating for 'the other extreme'

and i would really love to know where these libertarians who aren't noninterventionists are hiding...every libertarian i have ever met lasted about fifteen minutes before implying that my belief in anything other than strict noninterventionism was proof that i was brainwashed by the 'new world order'

from my experience libertarians are fairly easy to define as a 'niche issue movement'...they have a just a handful of issues...noninterventionism being one of them...that they really care about and that override all other issues...

How is the meddling of another countries affairs and senseless killing a Christian principle, because that is the basis of what our interventionist foreign policy has turned into? Now, how can any "evangelical conservative" (speaking in general and not directed at you, but I will use your quote) talk about "Am I my brother's keeper" which was, according to scripture, a snark remark that Cain gave to God, but never ask the question "who is my neighbor," or more importantly adhere to the command of Jesus in Matt 5:44. To be truthful, the interventionist policy of the "evangelical conservative" revolves solely around one country.
you can argue against various interventions and various implementations of interventionist foreign policy...and i will say that i don't agree with all of our foreign policies either... but what i am arguing against and calling out as contrary to scripture is the philosophical opposition to virtually all foreign interventions in general...which is one of the evident primary tenets of libertarianism...

Where is that commandment in scripture? The Bible never once laid out meddling in the affair of other nations and there isn't any in scripture that states that a nation went to war on behalf of someone else. If there is a human rights issue and nothing else can be done, then yes, but to believe that we are the police for the world is a reckless position to take. Let be honest with ourselves; who has truly benefited from our interventionist policies? Why do we continue giving countries foreign aid and we are going bankrupt ourselves? Who does most of our policies center around? How many lives have been lost fighting the wars of others? Who pushed us into WW1 and why was a naval fleet based out of San Diego at Pearl Harbour and why did Japan even attack us? These policies do not and have not worked.

Liberals, conservatives, libertarians, and libertines, they have superficial differences, but they are all even the same.

Tell that to a monarchist.
Lol, I the monarch of America just told you my fellow monarch.

Here is some wisdom on the way of kings: The king's heart is like the rivers of waters, the Lord turneth it whithersoever he will.
