Obama administration facing new calls to tie nuke talks to release of US prisoners

The Obama administration is facing mounting pressure to use its leverage in the Iranian nuclear talks to demand the release of Americans imprisoned there -- as Tehran proceeds with charges critics say are unfair and unjust.

The latest case involves Washington Post Tehran bureau chief Jason Rezaian, whom the newspaper revealed Monday is being charged by Iran with espionage and other alleged crimes.
Since when does a U.S. president have to be prompted to seek the release of American hostages from a hostile foreign power?

Since when does an American president not only allow a country to thumb its nose at us, but essentially bends over at the waist and meekly says, "Thank you, Sir! May I have another?"

Since when do we negotiate with a terrorist nation who unjustly captures our citizens and holds them as ransom to get what they want, instead of sending the 1st Airborne in to take care of the thugs?

Since when do we consider the near-treasonous actions of an Islamist sympathizer to actually be our president, instead of impeaching the a****** as an unqualified moron guilty high crimes and misdemeanors?

unfortunately, the table is set for the U.S. and its allies to go down within this century probably. The new axis of evil (China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea) are far more powerful and ruthless than the last and our allies have just become increasingly weaker. What's worse is that many people (if not most people) in the world are becoming incredibly supportive of Russia and Iran's political actions and views. I see the U.S. rolling over more and more in the coming years. The second it stands up for itself (and I mean REALLY stands up for itself), there is a good chance that it will get knocked off of the world stage.

I think you're right. It's a scary prospect, but you're right. A Soviet-style collapse appears to be coming down the pike. Certain aspects of our culture and economy may yet save us, but, unfortunately, I think you're right. Ours will be the way of the Romans and the British. Historians will theorize and debate as to the reasons for centuries.

All I have to say folks is get to know your neighbors and local civic structures real well. Also, move to areas that attract people in the trades.

You're absolutely right.

-- How do we explain this, you and I agreeing on two things in less than 24 hours?

I believe the situation is a table-setter for the end of the last days, antichrist, tribulation, and final judgment.

Lol. That's exactly what I figure. I think America (with its Christians) needs to fall before the antichrist will come into play. especially when you think about the new axis of evil all comprising of anti-Christian countries.
